Here is my summer project, I just worked on all these guys in one day, take a look at my progress. I plan to have my whole army done in a few weeks, then get some basing and such in.

The highlights look a little pink, you know that an easier way to lighten blood red is with bronzed flesh?

nice, but I agree highlights look pink. I like the dual colours, but the head would best if the heads colours were reverse.

reverse heads? i cna try that, as it sounds like a good idea, just not standard sanguine painting though.

I wouldn't Ink that red, that's a good red, I'd just start the base coat a darker red.

My brother did an army almost exactly the same but green instead of black the problem was when he put a darker layer on they didn't look as high tech as he hoped but if going for a holy look then another layer would be good

Regardless whether your brother inked it or not, I would start with a darker colour in the recesses, as it makes the highlights stand out more, and the ornage-ish glow the Blood Red gives off won't show as much.
