[Daemon Lover]

well i am painting khorne like this:
black(all)
scab red(all)
blood red(over scab)
silver(trim)
gold(over silver)
blood red(clean it up)
black(wires, power fist coard, that kinda stuff, also on the armour slits like behind the knee and under the elbow, and on the shoulder that is not gold)
then i paint the skin with bubonic brown or the eyes with green dependign on which it has.

they look OK but i was really woundering how to make it the really light shiny red and gold like in the codex.

does anyone know any kool paint schemes?

to make the red shiny add a lil bit of fiery orange in the blood red for a final highlight then water down some red ink and do it all over the red stuff and the shinny gold is done by addin a lil bit of mithril silver in the final highlight

for gold:

base in black, then cover it in gold. Follow up by a black and brown wash. Then paint the area in gold again, leaving the wases in the recesses. add in a bit of silver to the gold and highlight.

Done!

For me, I get the following:

basecoat black
Scab red over the armour areas and any parts of the jetpack...
Blood red over that
bestial brown where the gold would be placed (Trim and all that)
Gold ovver that
pick out details with any other colours and clean the piece up.
Ink washed with black.(Watered down paint)

The knee joints and things remained black. Pistols were boltgun metal with a black wash.

May I also suggest highlighting with fiery orange, which I did not do!

well i am using it until i get my own zerker.

so you did paint it... well its kool but my khorne are gunna be really light and shiny instead of darkish redish oragnish like yours.

Don't make them too light now,after all light red is pink and pink is slaanesh...khornes enemy. I paint mine red gore,chestnut ink,red gore drybrush,banding is gold,chestnut ink,drybrush gold and lightly drybrush in silver.
