Ok heres the deal, when I apply a regal blue GW paint to a Skull White undercoat, the paint seems to 'Crack'.
I am wondering if anyone else has this problem. Shovah

I had a problem like this when I painted my Blood Angels years ago where the Blood Red coat seemed to crack particularly in the crevices of the model. I figured that I was applying too much paint, as it was pooling in the crevices, and not thinning it down enough. Perhaps this could be the problem?

I've not had the problem you describe but it sounds like your not mixing up your paint properly. Stir it with a cocktail stick and thin it down.
Wat are you using to apply your under coat... I get a nice matt finish off my spray, but I'veen models that are undercoated with a glossy finish and it seams to be kinda waxy, the layers on top not 'sticking' to it right. Also I assume you are usding GW paint? I use a combination of GW, Miniatures Paint and Vallejo, of these the Miniatures Paint and the GW stuff require the greatest amount of thining before use... |
