Hi Guys,

These are the other two Air Caste I have been working on, a few things to go, like detailing the items they're carrying and doing the helms optics.





Vomit Brown carapace with a Black/Scorched Brown overalls, highlighted with Scorched Brown and picks by Beastial Brown. Skin is shadow grey and Space Wolf Grey with some white highlights.

My bases in the cadre have Flat Earth rims with Bleached Bone/Commando Khaki highlights.

Do you think the object parts should be 'kevlar' exotic material black or have some 'energy' colour ? The helmet wearing Kor'la has an energy rod peice, which I intend to paint in a large green neon beam, just summing up the courage

I rather like them. I am not really certain what their use is for on the battlefield...I'm not familiar with the rules. Are they for appearance sake? Or objectives?

Nifty! It'd be nice if you could line them up with your other Tau and xenos allies for a height comparison. I didn't understand your question at first but I am glad you're going to paint the fuel cell rods green or neon-like. They look very much like the fuel rods in Fifth Element. For the weird engine part the other crew member is carrying, I think standard glossy black would be fine. Perhaps with a copper metallic where the ribs are. The handheld parts will probably be detailed with a handpainted screen like you did for your Tetra's HUD. Fine work Tael

Don't like the models (models, not paint job) I was going to suggest the same thing as UN17. However I would suggest a blue fuel rod (like the plasma generators in DOW. That way you could experiment with casting light, something I've not seen you do.

I second UN17! I wanna see these guys lined up against the regular Fire Warrior models for height comparison.

As always, a fine paintjob Tael. I think a slightly glossy black, like the stock of Pulse Rifles would be best for the hard parts of the equipment. Which reminds me, whatever became of your 'fuel pod storage dome' terrain piece?

HI Guys,

Well, I would like to line up all my beasties for you..but they're elsewhere right now, on a secret mission.

However I can answer Ko'Vash, I use a SHadow Grey base for my Tau skin, so when all the highlighting is done, I carefully put light dots or 'Freckles' on my Tau's scalps. A sort of suntan spots for their light skin, being an Arid world dwelling race

Thanks for the feedback and critique, I hope to have these guys completely finished soon. I'll post them and others in a single thread. Best not to spam up with seperate threads again I think

Forgeworld indeed, they also have three ground crew models, though to buy them would be a needless luxury for my Cadre
