lame name i know. but apparently sonic is going to be going back to 2D side scrolling!!!! :O

i found a few things about online.

http://www.needlemouse.com/

http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/proj...lemouse-teaser

i mean honestly thats all i have really wanted in a sonic game and i'm surprised that they just now realize how bad of games they have been producing.

The damage is done. I can't bring myself to believe they'll do it right.

For starters, we'll have to put up with Eggman.

Next, we'll no-doubt have a bunch of ****ed-up characters nobody likes outside of the Furry community... and even then it's only because they assume "Cream the Rabbit" is an instruction, not a name.

It'll have retarded minigames that aren't fun. It'll have some form of stupid Quick-Time-Event. It'll probably try to be LittleBigPlanet and fail epically.

It'll be crap. It's made by Team Sonic, after all.

The teaser trailer at the very least brings back the nostalgia of Sonic and Sonic 2.

I'm hesitant to say they'll pull this off, but if they follow this simple procedure, they're sure to come out victorious;

1) Take Sonic 2
2) Make it "3D" while retaining the 2D platformer gameplay
3) $$$ Profit! $$$

actually take sonic 3. that was by far the best game. you could connect with the sonic and knuckles game to extend the amount of levels too!

the save feature was also very nice.

i agree, honestly just give me some new interesting place to mess around in with all the same goodness of the genesis games and i'll be happy.

but even sonic adventure was pretty good. if they could just leave the gimmicks out of the games then they would have great games.

The Chaos were in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, not sure about Heroes. Gotta say, I enjoyed Sonic's first two forays into true 3-D. There's no denying that Sonic Adventure 1 was an awesome game, it's just such a shame that Sonic Team never capitalised on it and started making some truly god awful games.

Are we all forgetting about Sonic 3D Blast then?

Had those little birds and "3D"!

Another classic; Sonic Spinball.

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine can eat my ass, haha.
