To be set in Las Vegas area in the Fallout setting. Apparently not a sequel to Fallout 3. |

You post this but ignore the expansion to Fallout 3 that will finally re-write the abysmal ending?

Yeah, knew about broken steel from about the time the first downloadable content came out so didn't think there was a need to mention it.

Seriously, the notion of 'exclusive DLC' pisses me off immensely. Where it not for the fact that a few people whose opinion I trust have told me the two 360-DLCs weren't worth the cash, I'd be more annoyed by them.
Microsoft, wake up; nobody will buy a 360 just for one more Quest on Fallout 3... but we will write off your company as a load of ****tards for bribing the producers.

As much as i hate microsoft for being ignorant pigs.
I am completely ecstatic about this! The other 2 DLC's for fallout 3 were okay, hopefully broken steel will be amazing, and i really hope fallout "4" will be much better and maybe, just maybe, bethesda or whoever makes this game will learn from the thirds mistakes.

Geez, you make it sound like Fallout 3 was some horrendously flawed game...
Alright, it has bugs. Yes, it isn't perfect, but I'd put good money you can't name three games that are. Overall, however, it is an excellent game. I know it won't happen, but I would love to see Vault 77 feature in the game. The Puppetman's Jumpsuit is in Fallout 3, by the way... Or, hell, any of the Van Buren vaults would be nice; Vaults 68 and 69 would be interesting, if only to learn how it played out.

It was a good game. It wasn't a great game. The biggest flaw IMO WAS the ending. I hated that once I purified the water I couldn't experience the world. I was also irked that once that ended I couldn't go back and experience the world which I missed. I just followed the power armor questline and then bam credits. Course this was like day 2 or 3 of it being released so I was a tad bit upset.
The idea that they are fixing this problem and gunna allow you to continue exploring the world was way more exciting than Fallout Las Vegas. Why would I buy a second game in a series if the first game ended like crap? Everyone compares Oblivion to Fallout and once again the ending is the same. Having persistence that I can continue to explore makes it more likely for me to buy additions. But the additions I tend to buy are extensions to the story rather than mini-not-related stories.\ Finally, anyone who has been to Vegas knows there really isn't much there besides Casino's and foreclosed homes. The only real exciting possibility is the closeness of it to Area 51.

New Reno was quite a lovely place, Las Vegas is much larger. I would imagine there would be a decent population there as the people of the wasteland would settle down because such a crazy looking place with pyramids so close to castles and giant lions would be pretty interesting.
