Oh I'm so proud of my little goons, wreaking havoc and destroying virtual economies. :)

EVE Online: Like Real Life in Videogame form.

With spaceships.

The corporations in that game are more like nations than companies. It reflects the politics and such very well that way when you think about it.

I'm pretty stoked on this because BoB's MAX campaign was annoying us northerners. Now I can get back to mining without having to grab my Rokh or Harpy every damn time I log on.

That sums up why I won't piss on EVE where it on fire. I don't value the opinion of dipshits who proclaim "**** rules! We do what we want!". Games need rules. They need structure. More importantly, they need systems where you cannot just steal away months / years of other people's hard work in the blink of an eye.

Yea, so is Astro Empires. Cept Astro Empires is nothing but words, what with the general lack of graphics.

And because of AE, I learned I'm a crappy diplomat, having caused more wars than defusing them. At least we won enough wars for it not be a major problem.

I even wrote an article or five on aspects of AE.

We run into GOONs on there too and they're generally hard to deal with but after awhile, we (the server) get pissed off and we band together to cause a "BLOB" (super guild) and you have two huge factions throwing billions of fleets about. Eventually GOON (or whatever their name is, it was BEAR but they disbanded awhile back so GOONs are everywhere) get the living shit kicked out of them.

Which is why you don't become daft enough to let them.

Or to put it another way:

"can't handle the heat, stay outta the kitchen"

Eve is beautiful sandbox, one that simple provides an environment, a very basic set of guidelines and no grounds keeper to sweep up the tears....BEAUTIFUL.
