Default Red Alert 3 gets 1.5 stars on Amazon

Well, as expected, RA3 has recieved an overwhelming amount of 1 star reviews, due to its DRM.

Is it me, or is EA determined to destroy pc gaming?

But it's incredibly slow.

I don't mean it lags, my machine is more than capable... it's just slow. Fans of Red Alert will remember the stupidly fast pace, but RA3 seems to move at more of a Generals kind of gait and I'm not sure that's best for it. I can't find any way of upping the game speed either =(

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

I know. I've seen the vids, even got into the Beta (not that that buggy pile of crap worked : )

And I want this game. But I cannot risk the integrity of my hard earned computer for it. I will not get it on console (its a bloody strategy game for cryin out loud : ) and I can't go through the hassle it is to remove Securom once you uninstall the game.

I don't condone piracy, but when SECUROM is like this, you have little other option. Not that I am going to, but people will.

For ****s sake, Spore was hacked and on torrents a week after release. Securom fails, and screws over loyal, legitimate customers.

Spore was hacked? Excellent! Off to the Torrent site to steal a non-viral version of the game! Sorry, EA, but I'm not going to pay someone to destroy my PC. :

I never liked the look of RA3 before we found SECUROM was on it.

Aye, my mate picked it up a week after it was released. I told him he was a fool, then he mentioned it was a torrent one.

I want RA3 for a few reasons, really. It looks fun, I love the whole franchise a hell of a lot, and, most importantly of all, its got freakin' Frank'n'Furter and Freakin' Sulu in it.

I can forgive a lot of bad things when they are backed up by those two people.

And J. Jonah Jameson mate

The acting is absolutely brilliant. It's definitely a true Red Alert in terms of the cinematics and storyline. The problem is that it's SO SLOW. I know there must be a way to speed it up, even if it involves hacking the game, and I'm gonna find it... it's bloody frustrating when I remember the uber fast movement of RA2.
