Default Halo3, MGS4...

Is it just me, but the people that i know who own a PS3 all say how overated halo 3 is, yet when it comes to MGS4 it is the best game ever...

Is fair to say that? (Is it really the best game ever?)

Halo 3 was very, very overated. Storyline wasn't impressive and gameplay grew a bit better, but it was still no Halo 1.

But on the other hand, MGS4 isn't the best game either, but it is very good and deserves a title near to that.

I'm close to his camp.
I think they were both over rated. Quite a bit in some aspects of the game(s). No, I won't nitpick, I don't feel like arguing with the fanboys over anything I say.

Simple, really. Halo is the 360 camps flagship, and MGS4 the PS3's.

Both camps will decry the other, whilst praising their own.

Personally I've never been a fan of MGS4 - story didn't interest me, and they stole the protagonist from "Escape from....." down to the name, the personality etc. But thats just me - and I've not played them.

I think he means Escape from L.A.

I just wish the Metal Gear games had stayed were they were originally, on the Nintendo. : Kidding of course.

Snake is an almost identical copy to Snake Plissken, from Escape from LA and Escape from New York, down to the personality mannerisms.

Snake Plissken frakkin owned - if you've not seen the "Escape" films, you've missed out. They are pure badass in film form.

Only one person alive is harder than Plissken - and thats Chuck.

Ha, reminds me of MGS2, where Snake introduces himself as "Lt. J.G. Plisken". Makes more sense now. :P

The creator even sad it was a direct name rip-off... :-X

I liked the early games, it's just gone too far at this point.
