Shame really - has had me sucked into it since it's release. The atmosphere was engrossing from day one, to the release of Oblivion - and replaying it still brings a tear to this veterans eye.

Just try creating a character, stepping into the outside world, and see where your feet take you. You'll fall in love with the game as much as I did.

You really can whatever in that game, I remember it fondly.

The thing I miss most is the voice of the male Dark elves, they just don't sound as good in Oblivion.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

I love Morrowind, I actually just started as well .

though, it may get hard to do certain things, it is a very large and explorable enviroment.

worst case, lower the difficulty and start killing towns off. Should kill a few hours that way.

Oh, god. Don't get me started on this game.

Enchantment is the way to go. Once you have 2 rings that fortify your enchanment skill for 2 seconds, you are king. Do you want a ring that has 400 energy, and can cast 15-30 points of ice damage as fast as you can pull the trigger? Yes please.

Oh, man. I had THE boots, and made a special ring with the enchantment resist magic 100 points for 2 seconds. Cast magic, equip boots, ignore blindness, move supa fast!!!

Seriously though, play through that game. And try to do it in a way that doesn't screw yourself over. It is very rewarding. Also, once you hit a higher level, just set out across the map, doing scan lines up and down. This way you can find everything you can find. I revealed the entire map doing that. And I explored almost 90% (I'd say) of the things you can explore in that game. And I didn't cheat once.

Stealing is awesome, especially for a starting player. I stole from every person I could when the game started. Also, if you get caught picking a lock or whatnot, and the guards come after you, just drop everything but your gold. I couldn't remember what I had and hadn't stolen, so that's what I did to keep them from taking it back. Then again, you could just make a ring that unlocks 100 points on target or touch, and steal your stuff back.

Really good things to do if you plan on being an archer...

Get up onto high places, like trees, giant mushrooms, and buildings. You can do this many ways, I'll let you figure out how. They can't hit you if they can't reach you.

Get a ring that has a constant effect bound longbow. That way, you have a ridiculously powerful longbow that ways nothing.

Actually, I'm gonna have to stop. In fact, I'm about to bust out my x-box again.

IMO the only downside to this game is that it looks kinda ugly, and that you can't hear the weather indoors. But fixed that both with mods. Only game that really moved me.
Main story makes Oblivion look like a womens erotics novel. The characters...
I nearly cried at some points when certain people did certain things.
Just play

Ow, and 1 more downside. When you hit lvl 30, about everything can be slaughtered by 1 strike.
This is also fixable when you install Tribunal Exspansion Pack, because the mobs in Mournhold (the city that gets added by the expansion) are a lot tougher.

It's a great game. I never actually finished the main quest though. But is is still fun. There is a tonne of freedom in it. Do what you want, go where you want. Bash someone to peices with a hammer or just shoot them from behind with arrows. Lots of fun.

I personally love this game.

There is really few downsides, and those is downsides only because I'm spoiled.

For example: You don't regain mana. This makes it hard to be a mage >.<.

Other then those few problems, it's Ace. And it isn't broken in any way as Oblivion. Heck, I had Blubrand full deadric set with tribunal guard shoulder and a lot other things that I can't remember, each with permanent enchantements such as heal.. And I can't for my life, complete Bloodmoon. It's way to hard.
