It's awesome - Play any charachter you want. Do anythig you want. Go anywhere you want.

Simple.

I'm currently playing a combination of an Illusionist and an assassin. In hard mode. Very fun...

If you enjoy good proper RPGs (as in not just going through a story like in Final Fantasy) then get it. It is properly open ended - you don't even have to do any quests whatsoever! I have a hunter that just roams the wilderness, a Ninja with which I collect one-only items.

Fun.

Yep, it's a very open ended RPG like silk said. You can do all sorts of things - there are countless side quests as well as the main quest, different classes, attributes, armor, weapons, etc. Currently, I'm getting quite a kick out of thieving - you don't always have to be a nice guy! :P

I have an Illusionist/Destruction/Blade/block character. Does more or less everything. Swordfighting, assasination, theiving.

Pssst, you don't have to sneak if you have 100% chameleon. Also, block is the only armer you will need after you have mastered it. besides: what kind of self respecting gamer lets himself get hit by the goblin? block it, stab it, loot it and be on your way.

Have a nice day,

Hell, the games guild quests are as long as most games plot line!

But it also takes so much away from the game.

You obviously haven't played in hard mode - that shield may be tough enough for you to survive a few more hits, but not alot.

I can sense that we will become great friends in the near future. If I were a mod I'd be giving you karma right now.

Yup, amazing game! I've only ever made one profile, but I'm still working on him, just exploing doing side quests!
We're going to try to get Shivering Isles... Hopefully soon! I realy recomend it. I like to use UESP for info.
