Default Warmachine

Just picked up a new game today called Warmachine. Was fun to play a demo game and for $30 you get enough to start an army. Extra models cost about $7-12 and a 500 point army (game lasts about 1 to 1 1/2 hours) only costs about $75 including rule book. Nice thing is the whole set is pewter which is awesome to paint. Anyone else give this game a try?

Loads of people play it down here, it's always fun to watch.

Been thinking about getting into it.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

At the GW store we aren't allowed to even mention this games name. It is referred to as that other robot game

In that case I'd secretly pay some random guy a few bucks to run in, yell it a few times then run off. ;D

Both warmachine and it's sister game hordes are great fun to play. Both are fast paced ands tactical. The only reason I still bother with 40K is that I like some of the minis, but these days I'm mostly a WM/Hordes player...

An interesting Steampunk game... I am most interested in the rampant technologies of the Cygnar.

Love that steampunk look ^.^

Heard of em, never played em... Easier than the Warhammer games? And do they have worldwide campaigns? Curious...

I have some Cryx figures that I won from a War40K tourney.. I got the store credit prize, so I got some Cryx with it. They're interesting; they're basically the necromancers of the game, with all the dark magic and undead units.

Models are awesome-looking, but are all pewter, so pewter haters will have a hard time with the game. Overall, though, it's cheaper than 40K.

I'm looking at Khador, no light jacks there no sir. Just huge ones and terminators that run off steam.
