Default Release Date for Tau mod!

The Tau mod will be released on Friday the 6th, just four days away! This version, unlike the teaser on PCGamer, will be available to everyone. The version, 2.2.4, has a complete changelog released, which can be seen below.

General

-New units

-New weapon upgrades
-New icons
-All units, upgrades and buildings have ingame text


Units

-Added new Piranha-model
-Added Hammerhead weapon upgrades
-Added new Stealth Suits-models
-Added new Broadsides-models
-Added Rail Rifles for Pathfinders
-Squads attached to the Ethereal will stop taking morale damage.
-Vehicles’ speed has been decreased.
-Units are more balanced. They do less damage in cc but are deadly in ranged combat.
-Maximum of 4 builders in your army.
-Fixed melee bugs



Buildings

-Added animations for the Landing Pad
-Added Air Caste building.
-Added Barracude Strike for Air Caste building
-Added Deespstriking turrets for Air Caste building
-Added Shield Generators for turrets. Turrets are cloaked.
-Added Sensor Towers instead of Minefields.
-Buildings slowly self-repair when not under fire.
-Buildings can use addons.


Research

-Research is in Winter Assault style, with matching tier 4 upgrade and fewer upgrades.
-Removed Hail of fire. Fire warriors were already good enough.


Balance

-Lowered ranged attack range of certain units.
-Drones are now limit 4 to prevent drone swarming
-Fixed EMP grenade bug where if the vehicle died before the full 10 second effect was finished, the remaining hits would target the throwing unit
-Reduced damage and throw effects of photon grenade, but increased stun effect times and morale damage to compensate
-The hammerhead ion cannon requires tier 3.
-The hammerhead railgun requires tier 4 and a relic.
-The rail rifle is tier 2, but still requires a relic.
-The Rail Rifle’s armour piercing value has been corrected from 3 to 7. It should now pack the punch it is supposed to against heavy infantry and vehicles.
-The rail rifle and rail guns now show a progress bar when reloading, as does the seeker missile weapon.
-Armour minimums have been removed in favour of HP increases to fit with the pattern shown by other WA units.
-Stealths start with 350 HP and are tp_inf_heavy_med.
-Crisis start with 800 HP and are tp_inf_heavy_med.
-Broadsides start with 800 HP and are tp_inf_heavy_high.
-Battlesuits, turrets and vehicles are all much more resilient to heavy bolters etc now.
