Default Nobz In Killteams!

Me and Tetrino were considering about setting up Killteams in a Space Hulk situation (Note: You can read his stuff too at the IG board)

I've been considering about using Nobz in my own killteam and wondering, if one of my Nobz took a Power Klaw or Big Choppa, is he allowed to take kombi-weapons or twin linked shootas? I know that Big Choppas are double handed weapons but the Codex aren't so specific that "one may not use this if take that".

Also, I wondered as well about having Power Klaw, if Nobs carry sluggas and PKs, does that confer close-combat bonuses as well? Example: Nobs had base Attack 3, if charging with slugga and PK, is that +2 or +1 ?

I'm gonna post the roster once I know about the kombi-weapons thing.

Using two-handed guns in conjunction with melee weapons like Klaws or Big Choppas is entirely legal. Obviously you won't get any CC benefit.

And no, you won't get a bonus attack for having a pistol in conjunction with a Klaw, as it is a Power Fist. Same goes for Thunder Hammers and Lightning Claws. If you check the page on Close Combat Weapons in the rulebook, you'll see it details that these weapons will only get a bonus attack for 2CCWs if paired with another weapon of the same type; a pistol doesn't cut it. I'm not aware of any Orks having the option for 2 Power Klaws so you'll be using your base number of attacks.

I understand on the Power Klaw now. Thank you.

But if I take Big Choppas, may the unit be allowed to take Kombiskorchas? If I follow what you said,Seth.

Big Choppas are Two-Handed Weapons meaning that they don't get the +1 Attack for having an additional CCW. But it is legal to have a Kombi Weapon and Big Choppa on the same Nob.

Ah, thanks Zen.

==Spessnutz Killteam==
[Nobs]
Sarjent 'Ardileg
- Power Klaw
- Cybork Body
- Shoota/Kombi Skorcha

Korpural Grums Toos
- Big Choppas
- Cybork Body
- Shootas/Kombi Skorcha

Painboy Dok Bossnyi
- Dok's Tool
- 'urty Syringe

Privet Shooler
- Shootas/Kombi-Skorcha and Choppas
- Cybork Body

Privet Yargman
- Shootas/Kombi-Skorcha and Choppas
- Cybork Body

That's a 200 Points weirdly spent if I might add for a Space Hulk killteam.

I've never played killteam, but each model works independently right; they aren't a squad? If so, how would the painboy work?

If I'm not mistaken, they can be independent or attached. But I need to look at the new Battle Mission book for more info first.

But good point though.

Okay, this may sound stupid and circular: Why no 'Eavy Armor?
