All good points, but why are boyz better to take with a SaG Mek than lootas? Lootas can match the range and can target the tougher targets like MC's or vehicles.

Simply because they are cheaper and can absorb more shots, you can have a nob with a PK in the unit for backup in case something goes wrong, and deffguns have different stats than the shokk attack. They should normally be shooting different targets.

I also double checked and the flash gits weapons are assault, so they can work really well in a battlewagon.

I run a mechanized list and I anguished over the same things; having everything in a trukk, but sometimes it just doesn't work. I added trailer hitches to my trukks, and attachments on my lobbas, so fluffwise the trukks drive the lobbas to battle with the grots clinging to the trukk. Same thing for lootas, you can just say they ride to battle in a nobz battlewagon and then hop out when the fighting starts.

If you really want boomwagon, battlewagons, and flash gitz here's how I'd do it.

Elites:
5-8 nobs with dedicated battlewagon
MANZ in dedicated battlewagon
lootas

Troops:
6X trukk boyz with shootas, one gives up their ride to the nobs and protects lootas and grabs home objectives.

Heavy:
boomwagon X 2
flash gitz ride in nobs battlewagon

Lootas just don't work in vehicles because a single glance with silence their shooting for the next turn. They work best in cover.
