Hey all,

As some of you may know, I'm going to start another Ork army from the ground up; a more standard and balanced Ork Army List. Anyway, I like colors and I find if I stick to one common color scheme for my Orks, I'm going to be bored painting them. I have a very short attention span. But Nezfang Skargut is a Warlord and leads thousands of Ork tribes thus I am able to put a splash of color in my Ork Army. This is what I have so far:

HQ
Warlord Nezfang Skargut in Mega Armor (Red; representing that he was in the Kult of Speed)

Big Mek with KFF (Red; Meks that ride along with the KoS)

Elites
Lootas (Blue; Lootas from the Deathskulls Clan)

Troops
Nobz + Battlewagon (Red; Battlewagon is gonna have Red Paint so kinda obvious. Nobz, I'm not really sure. Maybe I can paint each Nob a different color ro represent the various tribes and clans that joined Waaagh! Nezfang?)

Shoota Boyz (Yellow; Bad Moon Orkz that got more teeth to buy Shootas)

Shoota Boyz (???)

Fast Attack
3 x 1 Deffkoptaz (Red)

As you can see, too much red. Any suggestions to make it more colorful?

My army is set up the same way. I didn't want to paint the same boy over and over, so the Wamp Gataz are a mish mosh of all the clans, brought together to better crump the enemy. Here's how I've painted, or will paint them:

HQ:
Goffsnikk (Mega armored boss): Goff
Zagsnikk (biker boss): Evil Sunz
Meksnikk (footslogger): Blood Axe, and smartest of the three brothers with tiger stripe cammo
Twitch (warphead): Snakbites
Finkaboy (bigmek): Badmoonz
Sparkles (bigmek): Evil Sunz

Elites:
Snikrot and kommandos: Blood axes in urban cammo
Lootas: Deffskulls
Burnas: Deffskulls
Nobz: Goffs
Tankbustas: Snakebites
Meganobz: Badmoonz

Troops:
Sluggaz: Evil Sunz
Shootaz: Blood axes, one squad is desert cammo, and the other will be forest
Ard Boyz: Goffs
Grots: Snakebites
Trukks: Evil Sunz

Fast Attack:
Stormboyz: a mix of Goffs and Deffskulls depending on which rokkitpack they have
Buggies: Evil Sunz
Koptas: Badmoonz

Heavy:
Battlewagon: Evil Sunz
Kans: Goffs
Big Gunz: Deffskulls
Looted Wagon: Deffskulls

I think having nobz from each clan is a cool idea, and would look good as well. The cammo I painted on my shootas was really easy to do, so you could always make them Blood Axes like mine.

How could I forget the Blood Axes?! Hmmm....maybe, I should paint them completely green (different tone of green for each gear). Of course, I could be made fun of and receive jokes that are related to Green Latern, the Irish, Wizard of Oz etc.

Green is cool. I have an entire 30 Ork Mob painted up as ...... the Irish Brigade ..........

I need to post a picture of all of my stuff. I was going for sheer general effect, meaning that the entire army has the same dark Evil Sunz color scheme. The idea was for the army's appearance to be somewhat oppressive for opponents. The only exception at the moment are the Kommandos, whose color scheme matches the desert bases.

The orks aren't the best at camo, so give a few of them bright orange hats or something.
