Default Wierd boy powers?

I have a real quick question. I know the chart 1-6, but my favorite would be the melta. After passing my psychic test, and i get a 3 for the melta, do i then have to roll on my BS of 2 or does it auto hit? I hope that made sense.

It auto hits.

My mate uses a Weirdboy all the time, and the first few times I was skeptical... look closely at the entry of the power and the rules for casting them. It's there.

I don't have an Ork Codex so I can't give you the page# or quote that'll prove this, but I trust he's telling the truth.

Both the shooting attacks, frazzle and zzap, autohit. Remember you roll for his powers at the very beginning of the shooting phase, but don't have to fire right away.

Ok good. Because my friend tried to convince me that i woud have to roll to hit after i got my meta shot on a 5plus because of BS2. If that was the case then forget that. And to be honest, wierdboyz can honesty be an amazing anti tank!

No problem. I use my psyker, Twitch, all the time. I always forget that zzap is a melta shot, and does the extra damage at 18", which I think means its the best melta weapon in the game.

Ok while on the topic what happens if a weird boy rolls a 'eadbanger while inside a vehicle (let's say a battlewagon) while surrounded by his mad-boy entourage?

Also what would happen if said battlewagon went cruising speed that round? Would the weird boy be able to use his Zzap power if it came up or would it be ignored because the vehicle moved too fast? What about 'ere we go? Would the wierd boy and his boyz all zip out of the vehicle to deep strike elsewhere?

As per the FAQ, you inflict a Strength 6 hit on the rear armour of the vehicle.

Alright fair enough (and a well rounded rule at that). So I continue to assume that my assumptions regarding the other two questions are likely right on the money then.
