Default Would running this type of ork list be plausible?

Hey again guys. I am trying to collect enough orks for something like 5 full groups of boyz, each with nob, bosspole and poewrclaw, 15 deffkoptas with twin linked rokkit launchas, a weird boy and a mek with shokk attack gun, plus a grot swarm. The idea is to make one of the boyz groups shootas with three big shootas and attach the weird boy to that squad hoping for a teleport roll, use the mek with gun attached to the grot swarm for protection and just running tha boyz towards them. Would this be a wise army to field? I made this up as I want to have fun with my orks however I was wondering just how effective it would be.

Lots of boyz usually equals win. The Deffkoptas are a nice speedy touch. You may want to change some of the rokkits into big shootas because they're incredibly effective against light infantry. Maybe swap the wierdboy for a warboss with power klaw, but if you're just in it for fun keep the wierdboy.

This would actually be a nooby army IMO. But still fun.

Uh, lets see, spam 150 of the cheapest infantry with such a huge damage output? Check. Spam outflanking TLed Rockets, Orks most effective Anti tank weapon? Check. They only thing that aren't that nooby would be the Wyrdboy and SAG. You could argue that burying him in a squad like that is a bit cheap too...

i'm not sure what you are getting at. you said his army is "nooby" but your saying his choices are sound. actually, the choices you said were "cheap" actually seem like "nooby" choices because both of them can easily kill themselves or not make their points back.

I'm not quite sure what he is getting at either. Do I have to run speed or mechanized to not get called nooby? If so then forget that, I play my way and still win.

This isn't nooby. This is just a very simple yet effective list. It's a very sound built and he doesn't pick up too many shiny stuff for his units.

thats what i thought.

yes, you will be blown apart against template armies but your never in an open battlefield so just weave in and out of cover like your supposed to and your going to be fine.

I'm sure you weren't trying to be derogatory, however it comes across that way when you tell someone what they are doing is "nooby".
