Default Adeptus Mechanicus - WITH ORKS?!

Gretchin for servitors.

Bigger stuff for Skitarii and Praetorians.

Mek gear as new experimental tech.

Am I being crazy here?

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

You may call me Circus.

Dreads could be Knights.
Maybe use squigs as servo-squigs. Cool conversion options there.

Sure, I could see this working. Certainly a lot of possibilities.

I actually brought a "Mek's guild" army to Astronomi-con this year.

-Plenty of orks with kustom shootas
-Lotz of Bioniks
-Warboss was actually a mek in a big armoured suit (built out of a looted crisis suit)
-Lootas were armed with all kinds of whacky experimental weapons (Noisy Cricket, BFG, Rocket Propelled Chainsaw)
-Nobz were Tinboyz

Orks have always been the best army for vandalizing other concepts and making them more fun. The modeling opportunities make be smile. Lootas would be especially fun, although if you want them to be really good it might hurt your wallet a bit unless you can crib some bitz off other players. Full speed ahead, I say.

This is unacceptable. My hatred of Orks combined with you trying to use their rules for an Adeptus Mechanicus army?

Techno-Heretic! If you do this I will be forced to personally hunt you down and strangle you in your sleep. You have been warned.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. You know why Lucius the Eternal is called the Eternal? Comparing that to what I do is like comparing a Grot to a Gargant. >

I ran a Necrorks (Grotsnik and everything with cybork) list recently to mild success. Even with counts-as, it would be fluffy for an Adeptus Mechanicus to have lots of bioniks, so the only thing left to be justified is his rage. Could the Mad Dok find a place in the Orkdeptus Mekanikus?

I think so. I'll fluff it out when I've finished this cigarette and got dressed :P
