Default Little Question About Nobz...

OK, ive been looking at the codex, and it seems to me that nobz are able to have a big choppa or power klaw with some kind of shoota, is that possible? especially when the AOBR warboss has a twin-linked shoota and power klaw. Thats what it seems like to me, but i just wanted to be sure it's legal.

nobs and warbosses are much stronger than a normal ork and therefore may hold heavier weaponry in a single hand

although looking at the nobs sprue i think nobs cant take kombi- weapons and power klaws, and no-one can have big choppas and a shoota.

In the Ork Codex, both Warboss and the Nobz are able to have Slugga, Twin-Linked Shoota, Shoota/Skorcha-Kombi Weapon, Shoota/Rokkit-Kombi Weapon, Choppa, Big Choppa and Power Klaw. Warboss though can have a Slugga or Shoota as a default weapon.

First of all, the sprue from AoBR is NOT the Nob sprue.

Second, the options on the mini doesn't matter, its the Codex that is important, and, according to the Codex, Nobs have a multitude of options, depending on whether they are leading a unit of Boys or forming a unit in their own right. I suggest you carefully read through the Codex, then it should be clear what you CAN and what you CANNOT do with your Nobs.

I don't know what you want to say with this, but, rules-wise, it is wrong. Nobs need two hands for Big Choppas, just like everyone else, and they don't get an extra attack for Slugga and Klaw, as well.

Cheers,

Well it seems that legally they CAN have a Power Klaw/Big Choppa and TL-Shoota/Kombi-Shoota

The Nob can replace the choppa with a PK or BC, and then replace the Slugga with a larger weapon, no where does it require replacing anything else, so yes, you CAN have a PK Nob with a TL shoota. Which is a good idea considering you won't gain an attack from a slugga with a PK.

Important distinction however, is that you cannot have a nob with shoota and powerklaw leading a boys mob.

There really shouldn't be any confusion about what nobs can take, though it does vary depending on what unit they are in. I think this question has been significantly answered though.
