Default THE RUN,SLASH,SLAUGHTER TACTIC

The Run, Slash, Slaughter Method
Developed by: Lord_pain (enjoy)

(This method is best used in games raging from 1500-2000 points)

Okay so all tauonline ork players this tactic is best used against space marine players. This ork tactic is best not used for the green tide and speed freaks faction of ork players.

In this tactic the following units are used for (best results). You will need at least 6 squads of boy’z around 10-15 in each squad, 2 trukks (big-shoota’s recommended), 6 deff-copta’s (big-shoota’s recommended), 10 warbikes, 15 loota’s (these play a very important role), warboss (‘eavy armour, bosspole, big horns, power klaw, twin linked shoota), 10 nob’z (all with power klaws).

HQ - Warboss armed with Big Choppa, Twin Linked Shoota and equipped with Eavy armour, Cybork Body and Bosspole - 85 points

ELITE - Nobz X 5 - armed with Power Klaws and twin linked Shootas. Equipped with Eavy Armour and one of the Nobz has a Bosspole - Trukk Transport (armed with Big Shoota and having Grot Riggers - 320 points

ELITE - Nobz X 5 - armed with Big Choppas and twin linked Shootas. Equipped with Eavy Armour and one of the Nobz has a Bosspole - Trukk Transport (armed with Big Shoota and having Grot Riggers - 195 points

TROOPS - Ork Boyz X 15 with one upgraded to a Nob with Power Klaw, Slugga, Eavy Armour and Bosspole - 135 points

TROOPS - Ork Boyz X 15 with one upgraded to a Nob with Power Klaw, Slugga, Eavy Armour and Bosspole - 135 points

TROOPS - Ork Boyz X 15 with one upgraded to a Nob with Power Klaw, Slugga, Eavy Armour and Bosspole - 135 points

FAST - DeffKoptas X 3 armed with Big Shootas - 105 points

FAST - DeffKoptas X 3 armed with Big Shootas - 105 points

FAST - Warbikers X 10 upgrade one to a Nob armed with a Power Klaw and Slugga. Equip with Bosspole - 290 points

HEAVY - Lootas X 15 - 225 points

1865 points

Okay here go. The first step in the process is to set-up your boys in lines at the middle of the field (mostly to draw fire). Take your two trukks and place one on each side of the table. In one trukk put five Nobz and in the other the five Nobz with your Warboss as well. Now you have set-up your “RUN” troops. Next put the 15 Loota’s in any place that contains cover (buildings, trees, etc….). These will be your bread and butter of the force(more on this later). After those steps take your Deffkopta’s and place them in a triangle, three on each side. You subsequently place your ten Warbikes behind your Boy’z horde.

Now let’s review what we’ve done. You have your boys drawing fire, the Trukks flanking the enemy on both sides, the Loota’s getting into firing positions, Warbikes ready to charge with the Boy’z and lastly, the Deffcopta’s giving (air) fire support.

Okay now let’s just say you win the starting roll and the opponent has failed to seize the objective (the game type is annihilate). You now move everything as far as it can go, but keep your Loota’s in cover as long as possible(even if that means staying where you are). It is now the shooting phase you can only shoot with the deffkopta’s. Let’s just say you hit with seven and wound with four. He drops three marines. Now you (the Ork player) have nothing to assault. The Marine player decides not to move anything and stays still and shoot’s. He fires his three heavy bolters at the boys killing four. The marines then miss with their bolters. Now it is your turn (this is where is get’s fun). You move the Loota’s six inches the Trukks 18’ and everything else as far as it can go (except the Deffkopta’s which are now non-moving fire support). Shoot the 15 shoota’s. You hit with nine and wound with four of those. The Orks kill off two more marines now. Okay so let’s see what the opponent has. Three squads of marines, two Dreadnoughts, one Tactical Squad, and two Terminator Squads. Now you are in range of one of his Dreadnoughts with 5 Loota’s, (you now declare shooting phase). Okay, so the Lootas take their roll for the number of shots they get at the Dreadnought. You roll a four on the D6. YES you did it now you can shoot 2 shots with each of the 15 Lootas Deffguns (30 shots). You hit with fours (that’s 4 STR 7 AP 4 shots), wound with twos. The Dreadnoughts can't stand up to the volume of fire. It’s gone!!!

Now you fire the Deffkoptas and they hit with fives and wound with twos. The Deffkoptas kill one marine. Now your Trukks are six inches away from his left and right flank (you think “should I”?). Don’t think just do it. So you jump out with five Nobz on the left and one Warboss and five Nobz on the right. This is the “SLASH”! This is where you hit your opponent's flanks.

Now your 12 inches away with 26 boy’s and six Deff-copta. This is where you charge the Warboss Nob squad at the tactical squad and the other Nob squad at two marine squads. The Marine tactical squad has a higher initiative. So they attack first. They get off five attacks and three wounds. You take one Nob out (because you failed his save). Now you can get off the five STR 10 attacks from the Warboss. Four hits become three wounds and the Marine player loses three guys. Now four Nobz hit with power klaws. You get a total of 16 attacks, you hit with 12 and wound with nine. The Tactical Marine’s Squad is no more.

Now for the other Nob squad. 16 attacks, nine hit and six wound. He rolls, five die and one takes a wound. The Marine Player roll’s and hit’s with two and wounds with one. You roll and a Nob dies (you got more wounds, not a problem losing one) . Now it’s his turn he goes straight to assault with the Nobz he puts off three attacks and wounds with another Nob going Kaput.

Next you move six inches with the boys and run with them and go a total of eight inches. Now you shoot 35 shoota’s at him and 12 from the Deffkoptas. You hit with 22 of the shoota’s and five from the Deffkoptas. The Boyz' shoota’s, wound with 12 and there are two wounds from the Deffkoptas. He rolls the marine squad's saves and get’s “SLAUGHTERED”!!

This phase brings the final moments. Your boyz charge six at the second squad of marines with 35 boyz at the enemies front lines. You get off 45 attacks and wound with 31 he takes his saves and they all die. Now it’s his turn he fire’s the second Dreadnoughts heavy bolter and kills two Boyz. The Dread charges the Boyz and get’s four attacks. The Dread hits two and wounds two. Two Boyz drop like rocks .

For the last part you move the Warboss and his Nobz at the Dreadnought. But before the charge of the Warboss, you fire ten loota’s at the dreadnought. You roll a six (with your D3 roll that counts as three shots each). So you get an extra 45 shots! Half of them hit. The Dread cannot take this many Strength seven hits and goes down!

YOU HAVE WON DUE TO HUGE NUMBERS AND GOOD TACTICS!!! THE DAY IS YOURS!

(this tactic was used in many testing games to see it’s affectiveness. It passed. It has worked for me and I hope it works for you)

Woah, woah. I didn't read it yet. But first thing first; format. I dunno which is which. Please take time to do a bit of formatting. Bold and underline the titles and may it need; make them larger. Separate them into smaller paragraphs so we know what section talks about what. If you have time do play-testing and typing out a Tactica, then please take a few minutes to make it neat and proper.

Well, your math is off just a little bit. The lootas like all the regular boyz have BS 2, wich means they only hit on a 5 or 6. So instead of half hitting you have 1/3. Still, odds are you will get two shots, 30 shots = 10 hits. On a dreadnought you need 5 or higher again, glance with a 5 pen with a 6, so you are still looking pretty good to do some damage to that dreadnought. I do like the idea of this, I used to always go heavy on one side trying to slaughter one part of the board wile the rest of their army doesnt have anything else to shoot at, but with the way set up is now if you go first, it might be better to do something like this and spread out more.

Sorry Lord Pain but you are using infor from the previous Ork Codex as Lootas are not heavy but now elites. The same went for your tactica on the Necron boards. Nice attempt but using an out dated codex makes your aticle outdated as well.

Sorry to Double post but Lord Pain has threads on the Necron and Nid that are similar to this out dated and on the necron one it is locked due to plagerism. And the Nid one has the link to the site where he took the info from
