Default Another question from tringle :)

I was reading the rules on the force organization chart and was confused as to where to, when and how to use the thing. Am i only allowed to have what is shown on the chart or does it even matter? For instance it says compulsory does that mean i must have 1 hq and 2 troops and everything is up to the player's choice? I noticed on some scenarios in the rule book it has charts there i am assuming you must have what is there but can you have more then that or only what is highlighted?

Thanks for the help and i am sure there will be more questions from me later or until i can make it to a open games day at my local shop so i can learn from others.
thanks again

(Didn't see an edit button)

I guess what i am asking is, Is the chart really used or does it just come down to the points for that particular battle.

For the Force Organization chart you basically get a chart of what a normal Army would look like. This chart includes a compulsory (ie, required) Headquarters (HQ) unit and 2 Troop choices. This is representative of the bare minimum of your army. Likewise you see 2 more lighter boxes behind the 2 Troops, meaning you can take up to 4 more of them, and up to 3 Elites, 3 Fast Attack, and 3 Heavy Support options, dependant solely upon how many points you have to spend.

Uh... yeah I think you get it. You must take a minimum of 1 hq and 2 troops, and you cannot have more than 2 hq's 3 elites 6 troops 3 fast attacks and 3 heavy's in total.

Also the force organization chart is supposed to cover armies up to 2000-2500 points. If you want to play larger battles than that, you will double everything in the force organization chart, meaning you HAVE to have 2 HQ and 4 Troops, and so on and so on. This usually represents that you actually field two different forces that cooperate in a mission.

Peace

Yup, these guys pretty much have it covered.
The exception is Apocalypse, where pretty much anything goes.
