I've been a mod on several other boards here and there, there is nothing fantastic about being a mod. What is really ace, is choosing to be one, out of respect to a community:

I've always seen mods of internet fora as being these "martyr cleaning staff", taking out the trash, and taking all the flak. Its a daunting task some places, but I would assume that being a mod here could actually prove to be a pleasant job - Unlike many other fora I've frequented. Congratulations - not that you got the job, but because you accepted the job, for the rest of us.
