Default Dice rolled stats for weapons

Allright, its a farely simple question, and may already be answered in the rulebook, but lets try what the vets say about it.

I have a group of flash gits - and two available units to shoot at, say a GEQ and a MEQ. The lootas roll number of shots after declaring targets. When do I roll the AP for gits? After or before I choose what unit to shoot at? After shooting? When using the gitfinder? At the beginning of the ork turn?

If several units present themselves, it'd be nice to see what you roll and then choosing afterwards. So far it hasnt been an issue, as all saves of potential targets have been the same so far, but I just started wondering.

I'd think itd be rolled when the shots hits and wounds resolved. What would you assume?

The codex itself answers this i think... pg 56.

"Roll after the target unit is chosen"
