well as the question states are they worth it because im thinking of putting on one my battle waggon (which is actually a converted chaos land raider with a zap gun 2 big shootas 2 rokkit launchas and an ork man with 2 ccw sticking out one of the wholes allthough he conversion isnt finnished yet) anyway are they worth it if so were do you buy them or do people just custome build them? i was thinking toilet roll and coktail sticks? lol

I'm a massive fan of them. If your playing style often involves you trying to run guys over, then I think you might want to take one. There's something about inflicting 2D6 S10 hits to anyone in your way that just gets my blood up. >

As for buying them, I think Forgeworld makes one. If you are a lazy git or have the spare teef laying around to afford one, they are rather cool. Otherwise just make your own.

I think your toilet roll idea would probably work just fine. Just make sure you Orkify it! Are the cocktail sticks there to attach it to the wagon proper? If so, I'd nix them. They sound a little weak. I'd take some left over spruce and make your supports out of that. A little firmer that way.

Well - the actual rules are sound - the wagons are used after all for getting the boyz stuck in, and that means you need to get close. After the boyz are dropped off see how much chaos you can cause so they don't get swamped by the enemy - fallbacks, as well as the rather beautiful damage that is caused by the thing is always handy. And then when you factor in the re-roll for the terrain your laughing?

Yes, the cost is rather large when in an Ork codex - but no other army has them. Buy it - and if you don't use it, take it out of the list, still on the model, and take 3 extra ladz.

Now for creating the actual thing - just grab a piece of plastic plumbing, a few strips of plasticard, cocktail sticks, and random gubbins from your bitz box and get to working ya misserable little grot!! Or failing that get hold of one of those spiked barricades from the terrain section.
