Are you being serious? Man, that's a whole lot of hurting you'll be giving if you are, not to mention painting! I'm to assume you'll be making use of the KFF's need to only have 1 model in the sphere to protect the unit, ensuring you get the full 6 mobs across the field with the cover?

It's not my list style, but hey, 6 full mobs of fearless Orks with a cover save? Why not!

Yeah, get 'em all a cover save using the spoke approach.

I was going through my old models over the weekend, and realized that I needed to make a lot of changes.

Like, I had 3 mobs of 10 trukk boyz, each with a powerklaw and burna. But, you can't use burnas anymore, and trukks now hold 12. So, I needed two boyz and a rokkit boy for each trukk mob.

I had 20 skarboyz - but there are no skarboyz anymore, and they had three burnas too. I had two mobs of tankbustas, but now they're all suposed to have rokkits, so I pillaged them to get rokkits for my normal squads (got some tankbustas in the spearhead box).

Basically, I'm having to adjust everything anyway, so why not go over-the-top and do a real horde army. Then I can add back other elements later.

I got 70-odd boyz in trade for some stuff I wasn't using. I ended up with another 12 from a cheap box of (now discontinued) stikkbombas. Plus the ones from the spearhead, that's 92. Add in the 30 trukk boyz, 20 skarboyz and 20 'ard boyz from before and I'm up to about 160 boyz.

They're painting fast though - I did 20 on my day off yesterday. If I can do 20/week, that's only a couple of months.

Not to derail the topic, though it is related, since you seem to have a speedy process for painting Orks, may I ask how you do the skin?

I thought a shoota boy nob couldn't have a PK under the new 'dex rules, can they?

The process that I've found, which I like for my most recent set, is to do them in the following order.

1) Lightly drybrush everything with boltgun metal. Get that out of the way first.
----
2) Paint all skin with knarloc green (the lighter green foundation paint)
3) Wash skin with a mix of dark green ink, a little purple ink, and a dab of PVA glue - wait until dry. (this is a good time to check your posts, play dawn of war, etc)
4) Drybrush skin with Camo Green
5) Very lightly drybrush skin with Rotting Flesh
----
6) Do pants (I like my orks with blue or black 'jeans&#39
7) Do shirt
8) Fill in details like suspenders, teeth, leather straps, gloves, wrappings, etc.

The foundation paints work great for the pants, and shirt (the new browns are good, as is the red and even the yellow).

This is a matter of some debate. I believe that by the printed rules, they cannot. However, most people I've seen post on various forums are under the impression that, while they're unable to if you take a very literal reading, this will be FAQed shortly, just like the number of wounds that the warbiker nob has.

If they end up not allowed to, I will just have normal boyz instead - there's no reason to have a nob with a shoota.
