My wife got me a Big Squiggoth for christmas. Not the really big gargantuan one, but the big one, which is actually the smaller one. Squiggoth sizing is like ordering at Starbucks...
So, it can take one Big Gun, at BS2. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to use a zzap gun, because they're absolute crap in the new codex. So, the question is, do I avoid the orky BS and go with a lobba, or take the kannon, with it's higher strength? I'm thinking the kannon. Afterall, if I was just going to hide the squiggoth, I might as well just take a single lobba and save some points. |

I like the Kannon or lobba
but to add to the topic of Squiggoth I would like to ask my own question are Feral Orks going to still be legal when New codex comes out? If not may we use our Squiggoths in a new codex army? |

Dependent on what role the squiggoth is going to be used for i.e hiding. use the appropriate weapon, I for one reccommend the cannon as a beefy monster shooting an old fashioned Cannon into imperial guard lines killing several of them with grots just laughing their butts of on a giant squiggoth is just hilarious!

I chucked tl rokkits on all my squiggoths, but that is under the feral orks rules. Is this an aporkalypse squiggoth?
tl. rokkits generally keep the cost down, while avoiding the ork's crappy bs.

No, this is just a squiggoth for normal orks/apocalypse. TL rokkits aren't an option, you can pick one of the Big Gunz or nothing.

Heya,
I've been running a medium sized Squiggoth with Lobba with a bit of success. The indirect fire is nice and it ends up being not too much more inaccurate than a Kannon. I've found that Squiggoths are pretty succeptable to enemy fire and not all that stellar in hand to hand (though the Forgeworld rules might be better). So I've taken to using it for intimidation on a flank or in cover then marching it through cover to support my boyz. |

I am gonna pinpoint what you said about your wife, that she has given you a squiggoth of all things. Its not the traditional "wife-present". Aint it great to have a wife that really understands the hobby? Few women I know can even just think of the game before I can see their thoughts wander and drift, concentration vaporizing and focus slipping to something else.
As a matter of fact I have never played against a woman. Does she play the game too, your wonder wife? |
