Warboss with out a power weapon??
 
Why the Warboss donīt have access to a power weapon, he is a killing machine, give us at least access to a burna this is not fair >:( the only weapons we have access that ignore saves are burnas and power claws, they should have think of a power weapon for the orks, that is the only thing i dislike of the new codex.

The large number of attacks that are available to Orks might make Power weapons a bit to much and unbalance things. This may be the logic behind it.

I give my warboss a PK. With a toughness of 5 up to 6 on a bike he can uaually weather those blows and hit back with stunning success!

Even if you were able to give a warboss a power weapon when fighing most other HQs you'll most likely strike last anyways so giving him a power claw just makes his return attacks all the more powerfull.

but he get I5, up to 7 attacks and S6 with normal weapons at the charge, but if he strikes last he may die before launching does attacks the Iniciative boost is lost and must HQs have I5 with ST4, 5 or 6 power weapons with 4 to 5 attacks on the charge, so their is not much diference, we should have a power weapon for the HQs at least, specially the warboss, or at least just for him.

Why, so were exactly like every other army? No thanks.

The powerklaw makes the boss str10, enough to cripple anything in the game, whats more orky than that?

Ignoring save at high initiative is not that critical for Warbosses, as they can't be instakilled by Power Fist-wielding Marines, which is the main reason Power Fist ICs usually suck.

I understand that point doh, but for example if you see a Grandmaster on a unit the first thing you do is to send as many attacks as posible to him as he can kill lots of miniatures and at the end being points waisted if he is killed, same goes here a warboss with St 10 and 7 attacks will be in deed a guy to fear and in combat every hit will be going against him as he can do more damage than an entire unit so his 3 wounds will not last long, yes in a Nobz unit he can survive longer but against anything I5 up he will be dead man eeerrrr Ork, that is why i thing that should have the option for a burna

If you want to use a boss at all you'll have to accept that he's going to be a target...being the biggest, strongest Ork in the Waaagh! has that disadvantage. That's just how the game is played, cut off the head...

You can always opt to keep him out of combat if survival is that important, but where's the fun in that?

Well, of course with a Klaw your Boss will strike last. But that`s when proper placement of models during an assault comes into play. If only two enemy models are in base to base contact, and the rest of the enemy is tied up with "da Ladz" only those two can attack him.

Besides, your Boss WILL survive the first round of CC, and be able to strike back. What`s the worst that could happen? A Marine Commander? 5 attacks, 2,5 hit; 0,8 wound, AND you`ve got your Cybork-save. Big deal. Against all other attacks, you have your regular 4+ save, and a FnP (if you have your Boss running around with a unit of Nobs), or just a 2+ save (if in Megaarmour).

Fact is, your Boss won`t be going down anytime soon - unless he meets Abaddon head on, but that`s another story...
