Default I have a small problem.

I have a problem, I am lazy and low on funds and I need a squighound. The only choices at my local stores are funky looking night goblin squig hoppers,or the toothy squig on a chain that comes in a nob blister.
Last night after I was done modeling some nobz I had a left over lump of green stuff, I toyed with the idea of making a squig by hand, but my results were far from perfect... what have you all done for squig hounds?

Thank you, and goodnight.

I use the original squig hound from the old orcs and goblins, pic of him below.

He looks pretty cool and intimidating but really any squig will do the job of keeping grots in line. Taking the little chained squig off the warboss would probably be the easiest way to get a nice looking squig or you can look through the archives at the old squigs and bitz order your choice of them.

The Squighound model is still available through GW Mail Order, and it's only like $2.50-$3 (US). See if your local store has Squig Herders. They come with separate squigs which look great. Very large, toothy fellows, and reasonably priced at ~US$2/ea. I believe. Nothing is cheap from GW Mail Order, I realize this, but the Squig Herder blister is only like $10 and comes with 3-4 Squigs and the Herders (save in case you ever start a WHFB army). Hope this helps!

I will be beating on the doors of my local hobby store after my next pay check.

Make sure you paint a black and white Zebra style mane (or mohawk) on your squighound. Add some character!

Best,

Hey Kapt, you must have Sparky's cousin b/c my hound is identical although he's purple.... most people love that model more than anything else in my army.
