So, I thought I'd try out a slightly different list which will make me get off my butt and scratchbuild the battlewagon I've got in pieces. The rest of the army I own all the models for though. Let me know what you think, if it has any glaring weaknesses against horde/mech/MEQ/GEQ. I designed it to be an all comers list so its not tailored to any army specifically.



HQ:
Meksnikk: Warboss, big choppa, combi skorcha, squig, cybork, eavy armor (rides with Gitsmasha)= 100
Sparkles: Big Mek, KFF (rides with Spidah Claw)= 85

Elites:
Tankbustas X 10, 2X tankhammers, Nob w/power claw and bosspole (ride in looted wagon) = 180
Burnas X 9 (ride in looted wagon) = 135

Troops:
Snipah Snipah, shootas X 12, power claw big shoota, bosspole in trukk with ram/rokkit = 162
Bloo Clovah, shootas X 12, power claw, big shoota, bosspole in trukk with ram/rokkit = 162
New Guy, shootas X 19, power claw, big shoota, bosspole (ride in battlewagon with Sparkles) = 159
Gitsmasha, Ard sluggaz X 11, power claw, bosspole in trukk with ram/rokkit = 195
Nobz X7, various weapons, waaagh banner, painboy, bosspole in trukk with ram/rokkit = 337

Fast Attack:
Mavork-- twin linked big shoota/buzzsaw and Iceork-- twin linked rokkits = 105

Heavy:
Looted wagon, red paint, ram, big shoota = 50
Looted wagon, red paint, ram, big shoota = 50
Battlewagon, deffrolla, armor plates, kannon = 130


Total: 1850



The only changes I've considered so far are dropping the ard boyz and adding lootas and a grot squad, or Snikrot. I like having the warboss with the ard boyz though, to take some perceived threat of the nobs, since that's probably where I would have him ride if not with Gitsmasha. Not sure I'd need Snikrot though with my opponent having so much in his face quickly. What do you think? Are there any other changes I might have missed?

Hmmm... I feel you have not enough boys... but thats just me...

you ever considered Zagstruk? something else to suggest...

I think you're good. It's easy to look at the cost of 'ard Boyz and consider dropping them but I find they are always a valuable asset to have. You have a fully mekanized list and I'd keep it that way and not worry about Lootas or Grots. You have 7 vehicles full of Orks and Deffkoptas, who needs Lootas?

Some minor suggestions, nothing critical. I'd get some bombsquigs in there. You can't go wrong with something so cheap that doesn't need LoS and doesn't use Ork BS to hit. Same strength as a rokkit hit, 6" less range but there's the noted advantages. I'd consider a big choppa or two with the Trukk Boyz. You're not short on them in the army as a whole and you never know when those I4 attacks will come in handy.

I like the list though. I need to get myself making some Looted Wagons for rides so I can do the same.

Like you not having looted wagons, I don't have any bombsquigs. I might think about taking out a pk to add some though, but it would suck if they blew up one of my trukks. Could still be funny though.

It would suck if they blue up one of your trukks but it could knock boyz closer. Isn't the looted wagon going to be the closest tank though if they are firing from it.

You don't need to have bombsquigs, they're wargear so no need for an actual model since the model itself doesn't do anything; it's all dice rolls.

Sounds like a good project for you, making bomb squigs. I've sculpted squigs before, back in the last codex when they were actual models, and if you've never done sculpting then it's a good place to start. If you've done sculpting and are decent at it then squigs are pretty easy to make.
