Default The Waaaghadist's new Orky List!!!

Alright, I have seen the errors of my ways of using 2 Nob Bikerz units so now, I've decided to cut down on that and go for a more balanced list. Any comments? What's the composition score? Sportsmanship?

This is my personal opinion, but id drop the Ard Boyz and add more straight up boyz.

Those 'Ard Boyz are suppose to be accompanied by Grotsnik so they get both a 4+ Armor Save and FNP. They're suppose to draw a lot of fire onto themselves e.g. Fire-Magnets :P Does that change anything?

Whats the object of the ard boyz?
The only thing they have that the other boyz don't is stikkbombz, which doesn't make me very inclined to shoot them.

That list comes up at 1720. I assume you were going for 1750?

The entire point, as far as I can tell, of the ard boyz is to be a unit that sits in the middle of the enemy lines going "kill this if you think your hard enough!" it is basically a tarpit of a unit that is to distract his opponent and sit on top of an objective.

My main concern is with the two 30 boyz mobs - wouldn't it be more flexible to have them in 3 squads of 20?

Bleah! I may have to take Slugga Boyz instead of Shoota Boyz. Friggin' 10-Ork Box Set is a rip-off! I may just get the Ork Boyz from the AoBR sets.

2 reasons; 1) Too easy for my opponent to kill a mob of 20 Boyz, 2) I like to max out my squad sizes, 3) Need to get more Nobz with Power Klaw and I'm just getting the AoBR set and 4) I'm not flexible kind of guy; I'm stubborn and rigid.

OK, I've decided to move slowly into a more balanced Ork army since my Nob Bikerz, today, was tabled by Turn 1 (Don't ask). Since we still had time, I thought I try out a new list (playing proxies). Here's the list I used:

HQ
Ghazghkull Thraka

Mad Dok Grotsnik

Elites
15 Kommandos; Nob with PK and BP + 2 Burnas

Troops
10 Meganobz; Cybork Bodies

30 Ork Boyz; Nob with PK and BP

30 Ork Boyz; Nob with PK and BP

30 Ork Boyz; Nob with PK and BP

I won with a comfortable margin. But my Meganobz got shot up and only half of them actually made it to CC. I'm worried with this list that I won't be able to catch those vehicles from a more Mechanized-heavy list. Any help moulding this list into a more Balance All-Comers Ork Army list?

Have you thought about nabbing a few buggies with Rokkits?

I never leave home without them, time and time again they have pulled their weight and then some. Most of the time they go through an entire game without killing a single thing, only to destroy the enemies lynchpin at the worst possible time for him. Other times they destroy (or immoblise) the most vital enemy transports on the first turn, forcing my enemy to footslog against a tide of green.

I'd sacrifice one of the boyz mobs to take 3 squads of 2 rokkit armed buggies, and them ditch 5 meganobz to take a wagon to give them some protection and SPEED!
