Default My Ork Cityfighting army list

I just went on a spree at my local GW and this is what I came out with.

HQ
Aobr Warboss
Warboss/PK/ Twin-linked Shoota

I might give him heavy armour and attack squig when I get the Bitz.

1) please remove the points costs of the individual wargear
2) Why are you using Meks in Burna Boyz because they're not very effective in comparison
3) Your stormboyz are going to die very quickly as bolters ignore their Armour saves :'( and so you will mot likley die before entering CC
4) I'd suggest at least 2 PK nobz and a Painboy in the Nob Mob

1) Done, sorry about that :'(
2) Because they have rokkits and become a versitile force. Burnas and frag rokkits for infintry and Krak rokkits for tanks. In a city there are many buildings and ruins in which I can hide them to pop out at any one who comes near.
3) True but keep in mind that not every one I play will SM or Chaos. I will play a few games and make adaptations from there.
4) I plan on having 3 more PK nobz and a painboy, possibly attaching the Boss and putting the lot into a trukk.

2)Hmm, i didn't know that Rokkitz had two fire modes :-[
3) weapons with AP that penetrates Stormboy saves:
Bolters
Shuriken Catapults
Shuriken Cannons
Sluggas/Shootas
Splinter Rifles/Pistles
Spinefists/fleshboreres...
Need i go on? nearly every army has an AP5 weapon on their basic guys
4)Good, they'll really help your army

I didn't know that rokkits had two fire modes... there isn't anything written about it in the Codex, or maybe I missed it

The frag and krak rounds in the ork codex are for the kannon, the rokkit has 1 fire mode which, although good, is not too useful when for no additional cost, you get extra burna boyz
drop the stikkbomb chuckas on the trukk, they don't really help, the points are better spent elsewhere
contrary to colonel sorck's opinion, I do not feel that a nobz squad needs loads of pks, for such a small unit, you don't want to make them too expensive as small units die quickly
when you get round to boosting the nobz mob, yes get a painboy but the ratio of big choppasower klaws should be around 2:1 so get 1 pk for every 3 nobz so they get a chance of striking in CC

Your 2 top priorities:
Boost nobz mob, more nobz and a painboy,
Boost stormboyz, if you are having them, you will want quite a few (maybe 12 or there abouts)

My bad, saw the frag and krak missiles list in the back and thought they worked like Space Marine rocket launchers. I'm also slightly worried about my anti-tank selection, deffcoptas are fragile at best and I don't have any other fast units that can get behind or beside a tank and actually do some damage, hence my desire for a bit more PK's in my Nob Mob. Another addition I was thinking about is some Nob bikers. The Warboss let's you take one mob of nobs as a troops choice so I would be able to fit them in. If I gave them some PK's then they would be another anti-tank unit to help/replace my deffcoptas if they get in trouble.

In your list you've paid for bosspoles on every Nob in the unit. You only need one bosspole, you can only ever re-roll a fail once, so tripling up on them is just wasting points.

I also agree that the Nobz don't need more than one PK in there. Big choppas are really a nice weapon, giving you S7 on the charge will let you glance most armor on 3's. I would actually put your Warboss with them to boost their size, increase their stompiness, and it gets them a PK. If you're still worried about armor then I would give the Kommando Nob a PK for the sneaky armor punching outflanking maneuver.

I love Stormboyz but five of them isn't worth putting on the table. The smallest I'd run them is 8, and even then only in smaller games like 1k. I find them to be a unit you don't want too large, becomes hard to keep them hidden and behind things, but obviously you don't want them too small either.

In removing the Stormboyz I'd then put the Deffkoptas in a separate fast attack slot instead of 3 in a unit. This will increase their survivability since they won't have to deal with morale checks. It also gives you the option of hitting different targets to tie things up.
