Okay, ive been thinking about making a shooty list focusing on a large core force of boyz with some of the new shooty units (which I haven't had chance to try out yet) to take out the harder targets in the enemy army.
HQ Big Mek Wizzgit: Kustom mega blasta. 50 points Elites 6 Lootas: 90 points Troops 20 orks, 2 big shootas = 130 points 20 orks, 2 big shootas = 130 points 20 orks, 2 big shootas = 130 points Heavy support 10 flash gitz with shootier = 300 points. 3 kannons, 3 exra krew, Slaver = 79 3 kannons, 3 exra krew, Slaver = 79 Around 997 points Tell me what you think. |

Whats a shootie list with out a SAG. Com on that thing is a killer and will out perform a Kustom Mega Blasta hands down.

It's looking pretty good. Did you leave it out of here or just not take Nobs for the Shoota Boyz? Being only 20 strong, you'll need a Nob and a bosspole to ensure they aren't running like gits.

I would drop one boyz squad, take another squad of Lootas and bling up the Big Mek, but I don't collect orks/ know anything about them, so I can't be a huge help.

However, that just one round of shooting. Add a second, a third and then a mass charge will cause mayhem. Mayhem causes pressure. Pressure leads to confusion. And thats where the elite teams such as the lootas and flash gits factor in - they target the more expensive, and the harder to kill. If i drop 130 points im loosing out on 20 bodies to protect 2 squads of very vulnerable (well the gitz are kinda tough) very expensive models that provide a punch that the enemy will want to take out asap. |

I like the list but 300 points of flash gitz at 1000 point level seems excessive ( this from a guy who uses Nob Bikerz at 1000, lol). Still it seems an extra squad of 20 boys, eight more lootas ( so two units of 7) and a cybork SaG could be added for the same points and cause just as much mayhem. I guess I just feel that the Gitz are very good but too many points for the cost.
