Default New battle missions

A buddy of mine picked up the new battle missions book for our group and wants to run some of the games. It looks pretty fun! The first one he wants to try is the mission where you get 200 points of guys, subject to normal unit requirements, where you get a fast attack, elite, and/or two troops.
It does not contain any special provisions for necrons being handled differently than normal.
There are no "units" per se; after selecting your guys each model acts alone on the battlefield. In a situation like this how does the WBB work with regards to having another unit of the same type within 6"? Would each model be treated as a separate unit for this purpose, throw the requirement out the window, or what?
As always, I appreciate your insight on this.

I would go with every model counting as a separate unit route. Though it should say something in the mission. It will be stupid if they didn't think of it IMO

We'll, do you buy a squad, or individually? For WBB is hardly matters as according to the rules you'd just join another model as a unit if your close enough anyway, I am certain it'd work the same way in this game. Just make sure to keep your warriors (or similar) close together to get the full benefit of WBB.

I would say that you would need another model within 6", but when you get back up, you stay where you were, as if it was a Lord.

That does sound like a good compromise. I think the best way to work it out is to discuss with your opponent before hand as well to prevent any crazy arguments in game.

The most "straightforward" rulings would be either
1) What I just said, or
2) Move to be in coherency with the other model, but still act independently.

Isnt this the new killteam rules? Sounds very familiar to what some friends and I have been using to build our kill team lists.
From my understanding you can also choose three (different) special rules to be applied to 3 individual models. Meaning you could have a model with FNP, or one with Stealth for example.

All models count as individual characters I believe. Not quite sure how that affects WBB I'm afraid.

Your models are, for all intents and purposes, separate units. However, this really doesn't effect the normal WBB rules. If you die you can WBB provided an identical unit is within 6"; considering most of your Necrons will be of a single unit, this doesn't seem to unlikely. Just try to keep them within a 6" coherency, and when they WBB they'll join up into a single unit.

If all modles are treated as seperate units, how can they form one big unit? In theory they'd simply have to WBB in coherancy, but still be a seperate unit and be able to move out of coherency and such.
