Default Pariahs and Orks

Does anyone know how the Pariah's soulless rule works with Orks and the mob rule? Which rule takes precedence?

I'd assume that pariahs in range make the ork leadership 7 and that, if they number 12 or more, the orks are fearless.

I have never actually used Pariahs before, so forgive my ignorance. Are you saying that the Pariah soulless ability doesn't effect fearless units; it changes their leadership characteristic, but they are still fearless? After re-reading the codex entry, that seems to be the case... Blech

That's what it looks like, but take heart in the fact that any units you might have a tough time with come in 10-15 model or less units so they should be fairly easy to deal with.

Fearless doesn't allow them to autopass things like last man standing or target priority and a variety of other "leadership" tests that aren't pinning or morale tests, so it still isn't completely pointless.

What?

The only thing fearless doesn't work against is pinning from getting out a destroyed vehicle :P
Other than that you ignore everything else.
Mainly because you're FEARLESS
Ahem

No, read the universal special rules and the section about morale where it clearly says "morale tests are a subset of leadership tests" and "fearless units automatically pass morale tests and pinning tests". So if morale is a subset, morale + pinning is definitely not the complete set of "leadership tests".

Thats why they say that flayed ones terrifying visage "doesn't work on fearless units" since TV is a leadership test and fearless units would normally be subject to it.

You automatically pass morale tests and pinning tests.

Morale tests are ...

* 25% shooting casualties
* Losing an assault
* Tank shock

Its really quite clear, and in the rulebook it even says in the opening paragraph describing morale that "this means that a unit that automatically passes morale tests is still subject to leadership tests *paraphrased, I'll get the exact quote when I get my rulebook back from a friend who's reading the fluff*"

Leadership tests include ...

* target priority
* last man standing (EDIT overruled by fearless's "they never fallback")
* pinning (overruled by fearless)
* psychic tests
* other unique stuff

Editted for clarity and to add a few things.

They ignore Last man standing as they "can never fall back"
:P

Proof ... last man standing is a leadership test, so fearless doesn't apply.

EDIT - So I don't double post ...

I just got the rulebook back and you're right, "they never fall back" so they are immune to last man standing.

They still have to take leadership tests that don't relate to falling back - target priority, psychic tests, etc. etc.
