Right, so here;s what throat singing is, specifically Tuvan Throat singing which is what you'll be hearing here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuvan_throat_singing Basically, it sounds weird, like more than one person is singing when it;s only one person. Here's some examples. I'm mostly using three bands, Huun Huur Tuu, Kongar Ol Ondar & Paul Pena, And Yat-Kha. Huun Huur Tu are pretty straightforward and traditional' Kongar Ol Ondar is The Elvis of Tuva, seen here collaborating with San Francisco Bluesman Paul Pena. Yat Kha play modern styles of rock with Throat singing and influence from Tuvan Music. First example. Don't know who he is, but he's got skills. The Song is called "Eki Attar" meaning Good horses. You'll be hearing a lot of this song because it's y'xa'uuk awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY1pc...eature=related What I imagine to be Yat Kha's theme song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiI5MnambH4 Hunn Huur Tu's Version of Eki Attar, Cool Montage with inexplicable cameo by the Riders of Rohan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1AWQ7O10Lg Ondar and Pena: The song in question starts 2 minutes in, but the version of "Terraplane Blues" is worth checking out. Same song as the first one, but with a twist of Blues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMiFK...eature=related More Huun Huur Tu, The Montages are back! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8QJq...eature=related Awesome Blues with deep as y'xa'uk throat singing. Kargyaaa Moan! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYha7...eature=related Yat Kha Cover Joy Division's "Love Tear Us Apart". I hope they've got non-acoustic version cuz that would rock my cock right down the block. Failing that, "She's Lost Control" and "Isolation....*Jizzes in pants* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_8CP...eature=related "Ezir Kara" By Hunn Huur Tu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB3Sr...feature=relate Russian Dude Attempts Throat singing, Gets better as he goes along. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a47RdpxGtu8 Kha-Khem. Kind of slow to midtempo, dreamy, with vaguely old west feel, like something from a western set in central asia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4Iwx...eature=related Eki Ataar again, but Metoah! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqdrK6q_snk
