Default The master's call - and other poems

On the day's new morn,
A bird did fly,
Over the hill
And far.

Though the wind,
It did blow,
But through rain
And the snow,
The bird flue true.

Till the sun,
Did it set,
The bird,
Onwards to...

For the master,
Came his call,
Through rain
And the snow,
The song flue true.

Past the blood,
Over moor,
Through the trees,
Under clouds,
Did flight take the bird.

For the ears,
They did hear,
From the rain
And the snow,
Came the call.

So flight,
To bloodied hand,
While he slept,
Ever more,
Never to...

awake.

Thanks ;

Clarion Call

Clarion call,
Sweeps the land,
A desperate cry,
May help come to hand.

The split lips pressed,
The air which pass,
Through golden halls
And gone.

For ambush,
'neath grey clouds,
A dozen per man,
Did come.

Clarion call,
Sweeps the land,
A desperate cry,
May help come to hand.

Hooves fall,
On rocky ground,
And marching feet,
They came.

With long spears,
Sharpened swords,
Bows with arrows,
They brought.

Clarion call,
Sweeps the land,
A desperate cry,
May help come to hand.

Ranks held strong,
But sound of drum,
The enemy spurred,
Onwards, on.

And 'neath the stars,
Moon so bright,
Men did fall,
And...

Clarion call,
Sweeps the land,
One last cry,
No help at hand.

Which one do you guys prefer?

Hopefully more will follow .

EDIT - How do you change the name of your own threads?

I like the first one more but the second one is by no means bad, it still evoked a chill in me that I get when I read something powerful. The same chill I got when reading The Raven for the first time. Excellent work mate. Keep it up!

Thankyou.

At the End

Though our cites,
They have fallen,
And our children,
They are few.
We will stand,
We will fight,
We will show,
Our fury's might.

Let them come,
Let them see,
Let them fall,
In many scores,
For surrender,
We will not,
And we will,
Give up not.

When they come,
Bring your anger,
Bring your sword,
Bring your shield,
Bring your bow,
With a sigh,
For you'll have need them,
When end is neigh.

And stories will be told,
Between the gods of high,
Of the greatest bravery,
Of how heroically we'll die.
So let them come,
Let them see,
Let them fall,
And then...

we'll see.

[hr]

Just a short one that, but eh well.

I'll try and do another in the style of The Master's Call next time... But I just sort of get something and make use of it...
