[Aunva Drklite]

Hey guys,

After spending time listening to lots of heavy music (in flames, dimmu borgir etc) and playing drums at my friends, i decided i wanted to start drumming. So i started to look on the internet and talked to my parents.

Now heres the part i need a hand with. Due to having a garage full of stuff i cannot put a kit in there so i need to put it in my room. I planned how i can make space and i still have lots of room. So i tell my mum and dad and my dad seems to be up to helping me get hold of a drum kit and getting lessons (which my friend is going to teach) but my mums is a little different.......

She seems to think i am fickle and this is just a whim. Thinking this, she recons i will not keep it up. But i know that i will and i think my dad does. She also thinks they are too loud. She obviously hasn't heard of sound proofing.

So my dilemma is that i need to be able to persuade her to let me start. This is were i need your help, so anyone who has any suggestions they are welcome.

PS: this may not be in the right place, i couldn't think were it should go :-\

Playing drums is a great workout and you need the exercise...

it also helps relieve stress ;D

I already do lots of exercise so i don't reckon that would work

an i already do lots of weight training so that wont work either an i also have a punch bag for stress
