"Well why the hell can't we take them? There's only four of them, and only two of them with guns! The eight of us can easily take them down, provided we get close enough to get our shots in."

"What, you think you're the first bunch of yahoos with guns to come through here? This is the Wasteland, kid, and moreso this is Raider territory! Possession is 9/10ths of the law, and the other tenth is having the biggest gun! I ain't saying you'll fail, but I'm saying if you try, you try without me!"

"That's why my plan had you go with Sara. Don't think I trust you enough to give you your damn gun back yet."

"**** it." Tom said, breaking the awkward silence, "I've had enough of this standing around."

He approached the bridge.

As Tom walked across the bridge towards the barricade, the guards took note of him. The wall they had erected was a mess of broken cars, corrugated iron and what seemed to be wooden tables hammered in place. Access through the barrier was achieved by a movable barrier, chest-high, made from a mixture of steel mesh and what could only have been a lamp-post. Four men were visible; one stood behind the gate, one sat high up in the cabling of the bridge's arch, and two more standing on raised platforms behind the wall, visible from the waist up.

Patrick walked up beside Tom, making sure to keep his gun nearby by not pointing at anybody. He wasn't sure if anybody else was going to say anything, and decided to see if anybody else would follow Tom before he spoke up.

Tom leaned over discreetly to Patrick and spoke in a rapid, forced whisper, "Rifleman's mine." He'd flipped the fire selector on his carbine to "2-shot" mode earlier.

When he was about ten metres away from the left tower, he raised his gun and let loose a burst of fire at the rifle-armed guard.

OOC: That'd be a semi-auto attack.

Zack approached the bridge cautiously, behind Tom. He tried his best to to look nervous, but was sure he failed horribly. When he heard a short burst of fire all he had time to think was oh shit, before adrenaline kicked in.

He raised his 10mm pistol from his side, aiming it at the rifleman's chest and pulling the trigger.

OOC: Quick Aim plus one Basic Attack against the Rifleman's center-of-mass please.

Nightlight followed Tom, relieved that they were finally going to see some action. His footsteps slowed a bit on seeing the somewhat impressive defenses on the bridge, but when Tom opened up, Nightlight brought his BB gun up to bear against the Rifleman and squeezed off two shots.

OOC: Two Basic Attacks against the Rifleman.

Seeing the others spring into action Patrick whipped up his SMG and dropped to one knee, firing two shots in the direction of the guard behind the gate.

OOC: Two basic attacks against the man behind the gate, center of mass.
