Zack saw the armament of the Raiders at the Crashes and knew at once that it would be suicide to attack head on. Hell, it would probably be suicidial to attack at all. All of the Raiders had armour, and better guns than they did. And the heavy machine gun on that truck, that was a scary prospect.

"I vote we exercise the better part of valour," Zack said, turning back and walking towards the road to Leatown. Or at least the road the Leatown sign had been pointing at any rate.

"Yeah, looks like there's not much we can do for him. Leatown sounds like a good place to rest up and find out more." Nightlight turns and follows the group.

<OOC>
Alrighty... despite the fact you managed to fail to accomplish anything I'd expected you to, save perhaps winning a rather uneven fight, I am going to give you a Level Up anyway. :P

All present characters gain +5 Hitpoints (plus your Endurance Bonus), +5 Skill Points (plus your Intelligence Bonus), and a Perk chosen from the Perks list.

For the sheer sake of simplicity, and so we can roll on with the rest of the adventuring as smoothly as possible, it is assumed you've booked yourselves into Lea Town - this will set you back £40 per person.

Characters who are injured recover 8 Hit Points for having a full night's sleep, up to their new maximum.

"Day Three" will give players the opportunity to grab some food, supplies, etc. I will post information on Leatown in a while. :P</OOC>

OOC: 5 skill points? I understand that it's a gift level up, but in the Rules thread you said it would be 10 skill points plus Intelligence bonus. I'll take it either way, but I just wanted to get the points down right.

All right, I'll put three in Small Arms, three in Sneak and one in Barter, plus I'll take Intensive Training towards Intelligence.

Also, I'm assuming all those involved in the fight took 10 rings each?

EDIT: Also, medical care to Rav, Ollie and myself.

Zack looked at his wounds after Job had dressed them. He was sure he had done an adequate job himself, but it never hurt to be sure. Looking around the somewhat battered room he was staying in, Zack found an ancient looking first aid manual. It wasn't much, but it had a few basic skills that were useful to brush up on.
Four points in Medicine.

While he knew he was not the best with guns, Zack also knew, from the fight on the bridge, that he needed to learn how to handle one a fair amount better than he had. The first thing to do was figure out how, and why, everything in his pistol worked the way it did. Laying the pistol out on the table at the side of his room, Zack stripped it down with the available tools, examining the parts carefully, before re-assembling the weapon and dry-firing it, to ensure he had re-assembled it correctly.
Four points in Pistols.

He also knew that he was probably the unofficial smart guy of the group. Perhaps it was time to start acting like it.
Brainbox Perk.

OOC: Note that all the above have already been added to my character sheet. Improved skills are blue. The bonus from Brainbox is listed separately in green.

OOC: Also, how much does a stimpak heal, and how common are they to buy?

<OOC> Stimpacks heal a varying amount, depending on how skilled the user is. Typically it is 1D10, with a chance of improving if you're good at Medicine.

Note, however, the Stimpack is a temporary measure; it is basically a collection of antibiotics, painkillers and stimulants, and as such it will not fix a sprain or break. In other words, Stimpacks don't take away Critical Damage, they just make it harder to suffer more critical damage!

Thankfully, nobody suffered any injury serious enough to need medical attention.</OOC>

<OOC>So, with all the medical attention that has been lavished upon me, how many hit points have I regained?
Or do HP only regenerate by sleeping, eating solid meals, resting, etc?</OOC>

<OOC>
Your character ended the night on 1 hp.

He increases to 9 hp following a good night's sleep, since everyone regained 8 hp through rest.

He increases again to 17hp thanks to levelling up (you automatically gain these hit-points; you don't need to 'heal' into them).

Eating, relaxing and generally not doing things that would, by common sense, making your injuries worse will help them heal; even broken bones set eventually! However, for more serious problems (like broken bones, in fact) you will probably want to hunt down a doctor. You can also pump yourself full of booze and drugs to gain 'temporary' hit points (representing the fact you simply don't notice the injuries you're suffering), but this is obviously just masking the problem, not curing it.

Stimpacks are basically a more refined version of the drink / drug solution. It's always wise to have a skilled medic on hand to dish out the stimpack and other chems, as they will grant superior boosts.

Patrick thought back on the fight that day. He had handled himself well enough he supposed, and certainly managed to do something about that raider he had shot up. Patrick did wish he could find some bigger guns though, if his 10mm could do that much damage he couldn't wait to put out some real destruction.
Five points in Big Guns, Two points in Pistols, One point in Explosives.

Patrick did a little working out, some push-ups and sit-ups, some other various exercises, and then went to bed.
Perk: Intensive Training in Endurance
