Default Eldar Exodites

I want to make an Eldar Exodites army.

I am thinking of using Eldar, Dark Eldar and Wood Elf bits.

But what should I do about rules?

I was thinking of using the Kroot Merc Rules or a combination of Kroot Mercs and Eldar?

Any ideas... Suggestions?

There are a few lists floating around for them, although nothing official. There are a few links posted in the Lost and The Damned sticky at the top of this board. You could use them as counts as Dark Eldar, although that might be tricky. They are not the easiest army to represent with the rules from an existing book.

Recursivecoin,
I would reccomend you make your own Codex and have it posted on the sticky thread mentioned above. If you need a hand, just PM me and I'll be happy to assist.

I have a few ideas I'm going to be gradually working on for Exodites - repping them using the Eldar Codex and some converted/appropriated-from-WFB-factions models (and the odd unit which works as-is, like Harlequins).

And for the first time in years, I might actually think about using them to actually play the game...

Oh, and since I plan to use the Eldar Codex as the (rules)basis of the force, should I put any discussions about the force here, or over in the Craftworld Eldar boards?

I am interested in seeing the army list you plan to use.

I was thinking of using the Kroot Merc army list. If you use an all Kroot list you can give them all a +1 to Initiative. Which would make them more Eldar like. An in the fluff explain that the Exodites are stronger than normal Eldar, but not as quick. That would explain why they have Str 4 Int 4 and don't have Fleet of Foot.

The other option was to use the Eldar Codex and add in a Kroot Hound Pack (which could fleet) to represent a Jungle faring close-combat squad (using Wardancer models,) and a Krootox Herd to represent Dragons (using Coldone models.)

Well, I'm still trying to work out a few of the appropriate conversions - it is so annoying that the Main Order guys don't do bits orders anymore, grr... - but I plan to focus on a reptilian theme for the various mounts involved, and to draw from both the wood elf and (new) dark elf ranges for the eldar models themselves.

Or, I should say, the models which aren't good to go as they are.

I'm especially looking forward to putting together what I intend to use the Wraithlord rules for!

When I feel like I've got a good idea for the list, I'll post it in the CE army list board.

Hmm...

What is a Ring Rifle supposed to look like?

(Or, at least, what do you plan to model it on?)

EDIT: I've posted v1 of the force I am trying to put together here, if you are interested.

something like a shuriken catapult but with maybe a more rustic theme, and perhaps adding some blades from the DE sprue.

Like the name of your force, but some of the 'proxies' are a bit off. for example, using wraithguard for stegadons.

Oh, ok.

And Wraithguard for Stegadons?

(I was thinking of using Kroxigor - but if you mean Salamanders, yeah that idea doesn't really fly...)
