Default Harlequins

I am thinking of starting a harelquin army for I have a couple great harle a shadow seer , 3 different kinds of death jesters and 10 troupes. This is an ok start I guess considering that they are kind of rare. I am just wondering if anyone still had a pdf of the rules if I can't find my own... Also how should I expand this army?

All the rules you need are in the stickies at the top of this board.

As for what else you need... well, I'd suggest investing in a lot more rank and file! Venoms are also a good choice, as they can get you into combat quickly. Alternatively, Jetbikes can be used to achieve the same result.

It all depends on your play style really.

More Troupes, and maybe a venom, also depending on which list you are using, a spirit walker, is what i would say.

I got 3 Harlequin jetbikes also. I found a pdf of the experimental rules I liked... but I guess I could play by your house rules.

They are not "my" House Rules; two of the rulesets are semi-official, published in Citadel Journal, and the Eldar Online rules were created based upon that list, playtested, and even submitted to GW.

So if I play with them people won't think I made them up? I kind of guessed it wasn't just "yours" when I read the pdf but then again I'm to lazy to write that. I'm sorry for offending you but I would like to play with my harlequin even though they are not very well painted.

no, becuase those are the rules, so you can use them with your opponents consent. (i think)

I'd like to point out you don't need your opponent's consent to field Harlequins, anymore than you need his consent to play Space Marines.

You bring a Harlequin army. If he doesn't like it, he can quit. You don't need to "ask permission".

That logic works fine for pickup games, but it does not work for leagues, campaigns, or any other games with more than one player on a side or a definined structure between a large group of players. If you are using house rules, you need to okay them with your opponents in these settings. And the Harlequin codexes are definitely house rules at this point. If you abuse the list (and it is not hard to do), don't expect to play anyone more than once. Most people will be fine with you playing a house rules list, as long as you ask first. But if you have an attitude that you have every right to play with what are ultimately just fan-balanced rules, you may find your options growing slim.
