First of all, what the eff is a Gor? Second of all, what is your question, or what do you want our opinions to be aimed at: YOU trying to make...whatever they are...A 40k army, or the thought of them as an army in and of itself. What got you thinking about gors? How do they relate to wargaming in general, and what can you compare them to so that we might have an idea on how they would operate?

If I remember correctly, the Gor are a type of Beastmen in WHFB. (Wikipedia just confirmed this: linky one, linky two) I think they're at least slightly present in 40k in the form of Khornate Bloodletters. I guess you could convert up a Gor army and field it as (most practically) Lost and Damned. Only problem is that Lost and Damned is losings it's legality in tournaments with the release of the new Codex: Chaos Space Marines.

Lost and Damned would make sense because you could field them all as Mutants and then have some Cultists in play, too (counting as Traitors). You'd also have access to Chaos goodies such as Sorcerers and what-not along with Traitor Marines.

You could also sit on the idea for now and see what comes out of the fabled Codex: Demonica...

Best of luck,

-Grandpa Ducky

well Damian_alpha. here is my answers to your questions.
1. well as grandpa ducky said: they are beastmen.
2. my question is: is it worth givin it a try, or is it just lame.
3. I was inspired by Sebastian Stuarts website http://www.eastern-empire.com/
4. I havent really desided yet if I'm goin to make an army on only gors or if I should use them in my Slaanesh army, but if I do so I'm going to use them as an elite-choise.
hope your pleased with your answers

Well, in the wake of the new CSM codex, 'Gors' would be perfect for the new mainstream demon slot, hmmmmm.............. inspiration has struck................ :shifty:

A 'counts as' Lost and the Damned army using Gors and other Beastmen would rock!

There is a beastman abhuman doctrine for IG somewhere in a whitedwarf. You may be able to find it online as well if you look well enough.

Well, maybe you could convert them to carry guns and count as Kroot?

To me they look just like, well, Beastmen. Which makes them quite suited to be used as Mutants. And they are really cool models! In case of Centigors, you can even give them Move as Cavalry option.

But the really cool mutant models I intend to buy at some point are here, and their concept art is here.

I failed to, but if you manage to find it, please let me know.
Aren't they somewhere on the GW site? I can't believe it, but I really couldn't find it...
