Default Anxloxtl Army - Feedback Please.


The Anxloxtl Domains

The Anxloxtl Domains rule over a long untouchable part of the solar system. Warp Storms have prevented access to this part of space for over ten thousand. The Races of Kroxon, Saur and Saurii make up the Anxloxtl and make up the population of the worlds. They are ruled over by the Slann Ancient Ones, who command the respect and devotion of the Anxloxtl, via their links to the gods.

The Anxloxtl Domains were devastated Ten Thousand years ago in a great conflict with enemies who sought the power of the Ancient Ones and they nearly brought about the complete destruction of the Anxloxtl and their Overlords. Warp storms (some say called by the Gods) enveloped the Anxloxtl Domains and have kept them isolated for the past Ten Thousand. They have used this time to rebuild their civilisation and to colonise the worlds left to them.

With the cessation of the Warp Storms the Anxloxtl are now looking to increase their power and make sure that no Enemy can drive them to the brink of destruction again.

The Anxloxtl are made up of three races,

Saur - Taller than a man, they are bipedal with a long tail and



Anxloxtl Army List

- Ancient One - (Slann) -

These Ancients hover about the battlefield on psionically powered disks, striking down their enemies and giving the direction of the Gods to the Anxloxtl.

Psychic Powers
- Eye of the Elders - re-roll to hit rolls in shooting. (1 friendly target, 24" range)
- Wrath of the Elders - range 18" Str 5 AP 5 Assault 1/blast
- Elders Hand - move unit 6", range 24" (can charge)
- Eldritch Beam - range 18" Str8 Ap 3 Assault 1

Can use 2 Psychic powers per round.

Can take 100 points of wargear


- Saur Commander -

These are the Military Leaders of the Anxloxtl, fearsome warriors who have proven their might in many battles, they are extensively trained in Strategy and Leadership and sent forth by the Ancient Ones to guide their armies to victory.

Can choose 100 pts of wargear.

I gotta say, I've always been completely against just porting the Lizardman list from fantasy into 40k. Yours is better than most in that you've added a few other things but its still basically just a port. That being said, it's not too bad of a list. Is the transport dedicated, or does it take up a foc slot. If its dedicated its a bit overpowered, being basically a mini monolith. Also, lets see some points costs, even if they are just an idea.

GW did it first. There have been 'Slann' or 'Old One' codecies floating around, based loosely on obscure GW fluff, for ages.

So what are you planning? Care to elaborate?

I shall finish this off hopefully this week and provide more reading fodder.

We may get te last couple posters to elaborate on their Lizardmen/Slann Ideas.
