Default "novelty armies"

My friend's having a problem. I can't say I'm into his style, but he liked space marines and then necrons. He had an extremely brief interest in witch hunters as well. After everything, he's run out of ideas and gotten bored of mainstream armies. Aside lost and damned, are thereany non eldar "minor" armies that are cool to work with? Tell me any minor army you know. Anything. He just needs ideas.
I have no respect for orks.

Kroot Mercs are the most obvious "minor" army choice. Check out the stickies.

Red Corsairs - kind of like space marine pirates, you can use regular marine or chaos rules for them. Preferably chaos, though.

Adeptus Arbites

I don't know thats all I can think of besides listing other Space marines sub armies.

Well on the eldar, I belive someone had an idea awhile for Eldar who had become draconic. I suggest Harlquins or exodites. Adeptus Arbites are a good army and maybe a specialized tau unit, clearly you can decide how many choices there are.

Kinda wrong.
I agree with that, at least try to make her look hot and young!

Anyways, dont give toasty any ideas, he already loves his Sisters too much....

Check the stickied thread. There's a whole list of Netdexes waiting to be played with.

If he liked Marines and Necrons, as well as the Inquisition, the Cursed Founding Space Marine Chapters might be something he'd like... they're official and offer a generally grim, slightly morbid take on Space Marines.

feral orks are sweet, though i never see them played and they have a free pdf codex from gw on their website :P
They hide their faces in snarling iron, but the cruelty, in their hearts is manifest in their brutal deeds. We are lost, and we are done. May the God-Emperor forgive our failure and protect our souls.
