Default The Demiurg

I know from past discussion that this forum has expressed some form of interest in the Demiurg, so I though I'd let you know of my latest update on the 'personal' take of the Demiurg. It's nominally for the specialist games, but the background contained within pertains to 40k as much as any.

It's clearly not official, but I like to think it's well thought out. Any and all responses welcome! I hope you enjoy a short read...

Well i give it a 7/10 though, it could use a section on Demiurg in 40k but great job!

Kinda wrong.
I agree with that, at least try to make her look hot and young!

Anyways, dont give toasty any ideas, he already loves his Sisters too much....

Cheers, 7/10 isn't too bad

I've thought long and hard about a 40k bit, but I feel that's the last bit...and best left to GW.

For the purposes of understanding how...difficult...the Demiurg can sometimes be, and even how alien they can seem, or even an indication at, perhaps, their motivations, I highly suggest this clip:

As I've noted in numerous other places, I feel the Demiurg can fulfill a variety of roles in their relations to the Tau. For one, I highly like the conspirational possibilities offered up by the Vorlon analogy. An alternate more 'friendly' analogy would be that of the Vulcans of Star Trek to humanity.

Alternately, I highly enjoy the idea of them as a vaguely Time-Lord-esque role in the affairs of 'minor races', or even the simplest anaology of all: The Bentusi from homeworld. Add to all that a touch of the Ferengi, Jawa, Dwarf and maybe a hint of that insectoid base-16 race from Star Wars and I think we're safely on a track to something that is largely 'none of the above', and quite possible alien enough from all of them to be well developed as an open and, dare I say it, vaguely original spin on the older 'Dwarfen' Archetype they are clearly suited to fill.
