As long as your opponent doesn't mind, its perfectly legal. He's not even an "official" character anymore (never was, actually) Meaning you can't use him in tourneys.

Anghor Prok is a model for the Tau army this should be in the Tau boards not minor race.

"Hey, man, I'm a PANDA!" the panda shouts back. "Look it up!"

The manager opens his dictionary and reads:

Panda: A tree-dwelling marsupial of Asian origin, characterized by distinct black and white coloring. Eats, shoots and leaves.

Learn punctuation it changes the meaning of your sentinces. If you don't I'll destroy you.

Easy answer there - he specifically _won't_ work for a Merc force. Tau only, using his special rules.

Apparently not many people read the Anghkor Prok rules, he can infact be fielded in ether a merq or tau force.

As for proxying him I don't see why not. If they won't allow a moded carnivore how do they explain all the custom farsights that you see everywhere. Just be sure to check with your opponent before you start playing.

Isn't he as legal as rail rifles were before the new codex came out? Chapter approved or something?

He's legal. He's amazing. He can lead Kroot Mercs and Tau. Fuggoff!

True but all chapter approved things are now rather fishy as they were not included in the new dex. Rail rifles were changed but gue'vesa, anghkor prok and even kroot mercs are sketchy as to how legal they are.

Is this a widely accepted view I never even considered them being less legal than they were. The new codex overwrites the rail rifles but why would it even effect prok an the gue'vesa. As for the kroot mercs there a completely differnet codex, it would be like the new tau codex affecting the eldar.
