Hi all!

Been a Tau player since the Tau got released (advance-ordered the army-deal) and have played Tau alot. So far only one GT, but it was fun! (Played MechCadre just for the fun of it! )

So, who am I then? Short version: Swedish uni-student and pewter-crack addict, I live in the city of Linkoping (Sweden) and work part time as a consultant. (Might get to work part-time for one of the big swedish distrubutors of games, mainly to help introducing retailers to the TTG-market and mostly non-GW part since GW has its own staff for their part... )

I don't like tournament restrictions as I think that the codexes should be enouth. I like to build irregular armies based upon real life formations (The Mechanized Cadre mentioned above are one such army) , but with the compositions-thingy any such attempts get nuked at first itteration.

Anyways, I have some plans to expand (and if I get some spare time, repaint the tanks) by adding human/demiurg aux troopers (count as FCW). The Grymn from Hasslefree are the miniatures I will base the conversions on. (It's good to have LOTS of Tau bitz around... I got LOTS)

After that I might expand on the crisis-area, but since my 'suits are... Different... That is a expencive and time-consuming part.

Why is that so? Well.. Pic provided below (follow link, 300kb+ photo)
http://www.livewiregames.net/members...GT2004ARMY.jpg
(The Mechanized Cadre, one panzer platoon, one MBT platoon and one recon squad along with 2 platoon CO and 1 company CO all 3 mounted in crisis suits that has suffered heavily of the "Sikil treatment". )

Well... That's about it... I might have forgotten t say something, but ask if you feel that I missed something that you wanna know.

Rules: Quite normal, nothing spectacular aside from that you seem to be under the gaze of the legal department of GW...

The no posting policy can make discussions undiscussionable by members who doesn't own the particular WD/Codex/book in question. And under copyright law one MAY DIRECTLY QUOTE stuff from publications (at least here in Sweden) as long as the source is named, with the right details (Publisher, name of publication, print year and autor and page from where the quote is taken).

Out of curiousity, is it GW who has asked you to be so strict in contents on the forums? Or is it an act of security so that there can be no chance at all possible that the suits from GW starts knocking on doors in a unpleasant manner?

Maybe this is almost getting of the topic, but as a new member I need to know how it works, and as a uni student that studies law, among other things, I usually want to know why if something is out of the regular...

Anyway, enlight a forum newbee...

The reason for strictness is mainly down to security for the owner of this site Tau Online (the member that is, not the site), as as he isn't all that old he cannot run the risk of a GW backlash say from individual pieces of information being posted on the forum then pieced together rendering their item(s) not needed, thus they lose money. So it's something to be wary of here in the UK (were the site owner comes from) though maybe not so much in Sweden.

Other than that Welcome to the forums, enjoy yourself. Oh also you have interesting Crisis battlesuits in your army (not my style personally though)...
