hi as you can guess im new to the forum but i am not new to 40k. I have been playin for a bit now and i love the tau... cuz I own ppl with them! anyways I joined this forum cuz none of my friends collect tau... so I hope now can have someone to ask questions about stuff ???. ;D cyaz

Hey welcome aboard.

First you to your top you have the General anouncement stuff and whatnot it's good read especially the bit about the forum rules you need to abide by. Here's the run down:

1) Capitalization and proper ponctuation. This is a forum not a chatroom so take the proper time to write a descent post.
2) No Leet or chatspeak., Use proper spelling...same as above.
3) read the rules and get familiar with them...people make mistake, but repeating them will get you smiten.
4) No threadomancy...if the thread has has no activity for a month and a half, two months leave it be unless you got something truly constructive to add. But usually it's better to leave it be and start a new thread.
5) Use the search fonction. Most question have been asked and answered,
do a quick search first just in case your question has already been asked.
6) avoid double posting. We have an edit button use it.
7) It's enough for now Enjoy...

It's not the whole of it, but a good overview...in short don't spam, provide clean post and respect Intellectual property and everythiig should be fine.

Also in the General stuff you have our competition thread...every month you get 3 of them to show off your skills as modelist, painter, etc.

Then you got the various army forum:
- The General 40K is for everything and anythnig not pertaining to 1 specific army.
- The rest is self explanatory, use them to post question and thougthabout your army...army list are usually to be posted in a seperate subforum.

Oh and read up the other army forum...Intelligence wins the war.

Then you got Other GW stuff center, where you can talk about GW Rumour; Creative writting and houserules/homebrewed unit; Every aspect of the hobby (painting, conversion, showcase and terrain) and the other GW product.

The rest is pure enjoyment.
