Default Fresh blood.

Hi there! I'm a very new warhammer player, with four or five games at most, under my belt. Most of which were hardly GW standard. Slowly building a meager "chaos tau" force. (Really, a bunch of frightful looking red-skinned tau, with some random Chainmail demons I got on clearance spicing up their display)

I originally got into WH40k for the aestetic value of things, and almost went Chaos, but a friendly guy at the hobby shop explained that Tau were less foolproof, but rewarding to play out, with a bit of planning.

The strategist in me then horribly ambushed and maimed the inner artist, as should be expected. He's smart, you know.

I like to invent, and change things up, even if it means losing a bunch of games in the process. So if I propose anything outrageous, knock me one upside the head, and maybe even indulge a little. A quirky good fight, is worth a bit more to me than thrashing with ruthless efficiency! (But boy, from lurking around, I've got more than enough in my head to play that way! You guys know your stuff.)

See you on the boards!

YEAH! Wraped Tau rule. Wait till Colonel Kill gets back; he had some Slaaneshi ones. And mine are genestealer-warped. Yer in good company. I'm also the local Thousand Sons guru. As is my companion alter-ego, THE NURGLE DUCK...
See ya round! Happy posting.

Yeah, I play WoW. So sue me.

Would it be appropriate to link pictures here? Or in another thread? I could see pictures of an army being part of an introduction ^^;

They aren't mutated or anything, because I didn't have the bits-and-pieces needed to give them a foreign shape. Instead, I tried to go for a dark red/black/gold/turqoise motif. These are my first minis, so they aren't that great, but they're also a lot better than the SMurfs I've seen that look like they've been dunked in a bucket of blue paint!

There are some house rules on the main TO site about some kind of Hunter Cadre Invincibles, was it? I have a few chaos marines that someone gave me, and I had some fun painting, that I'd like to apply some house-ruling to.

If the Tau are a new race, I could see them being a bit naive and thinking they can control the warp, while it coerces, influences, and corrupts them. Some of the really far-gone chaos marines, might even can their xenophobia in favor of serving as emmisary for their twisted masters.

Where would be the best spot to discuss house rules, if any?

I started a thread about my army.

Smoof, Magnus, and Kill, If you have any ideas how to make my guys look more hardcore and intense, let me know!

I want them to be scary. I don't want the numbers on a Railgun to be the only intimidating aspect of my force. O0
